I have been watching this channel for several days now I recently broke my elbow skateboarding and I may say Im a huge fan of Phoenix resale lately ive been stuck at home watching all his episodes and they all are so entertaining! This has to be my favorite channel especially when he visits the shops around California he should definitely visit frank and sons in Hacienda Hieghts he would definitely find some Gems there!
I have been looking for an video exactly for this purpose for so long and I found out you have a video on it I'm so glad
I have this amazing thrift store by my house which always has great video game stuff for really cheap. I once found a Wii U there for $50, they'll always have Wii's for $10 a piece, my friend found a Wii U there too but bundled with like 15 AAA games (BotW, Wind Waker HD, Mario U and more)
He also found a clear original Gameboy bundled with games like Links Awakening, Mario Land, DK land, and more for $10.00. Someone donated a bag of like 20 GBC's once! most of them didn't work, but they were only $3 a piece and my friend found a Pokemon special edition GBC which he keeps in his collection. I also shop my local pawn shops pretty often. They had a Galaxy 3DS for $117, 2 copies of Wii Sports for $0.93, and lots of other stuff. My local Goodwill's I hardly ever find anything though.
At 11:40 theres a game called the earth dies screaming priced at $24.99. Idk if the one you have is cib or not but one sold recently for $200 on ebay cib
For searching and buying video games I go to Pawn Shops, Thrift Stores, Local Video Game Shops, Yard Sales and sometimes online, but online is rare buying for me. I also go to local swap meets and conventions. These are how I go Game Buying! I am mainly collecting for Original Nintendo, but only the Sport Games, Gameshow Games, Puzzle Games and Boardgame Games! I am also collecting GAMEBOY ORIGINAL and GAMEBOY COLOR Games. Evercade is another system I am collecting for too. I try to find other games I can trade or sell, so I can look for games I am after.
I don't play that many different games just yugioh on the switch but your videos are very catchy and enjoyable to watch now I wait every week the gamecube hunting 😂👍

I'm finding that Game Exchange pricing may not ring up as priced. They go off their system so if the posted sticker date is a few months old, ask them to scan for the price.
I moved recently and now have to pretty much resort to buying all my games online now. The small town I'm in has no game stores, thrift stores, and no pawn shops. Closest place to go is almost 2 hours away. I'm hoping to have yard sale luck when it warms through!
I literally check that castle location every day, where my apt is literally right there it just works out, they hardly ever have anything though.
Love the game exchange here in town, and where you like Pokémon cards you should check out card trooper games in the Richmond center.
Theres not really many physical game stores locally in the UK especially in my area therefore i usually go online to shop
I'm in the U.K. Most my games come from car boot sales, charity shops , used game shops, ebay, Amazon or Facebook market . I very rarely buy new games.
Micro center used to be my little secret for clearance and import DS games back in the day
I live in a big city where all we mostly have is GameStop so there & eBay are where I get most of my games. There’s a couple mom & pop stores but 1 is a bit overpriced since they go by eBay/Amazon prices, the other is like a hole in the wall that barely has anything worth while. The few pawn shops don’t really have much either.

It has been half and half for games that I find. Some in stores or thrift finds and the rest online. That is mostly for my collection though. For my flips, it's mostly in store with gamestop finds online.

I usually go to thrift stores and check Facebook Marketplace for game.
I used to do garage sales, but if I do, I wind up coming home with car-fulls of stuff and I just don’t have room for that right now.
But just the other day, I got a couple stacks of Xbox 360 games and a system for free. No heavy hitters, but since it was free, the profit will be great. It’s definitely not an everyday find though.
I've been working on collecting for the Sega Genesis, starting to find some decent titles but very few c.i.b. I've been having luck at smaller retro game stores. The mom and pop stops is what I call them. I check every thrift and pawn shops but they are always overpriced and dont have anything before ps4 and xbox 1 or switch. Waiting for garage sale season here in Michigan. That's usually my best bet for cheap or underpriced games.

Interesting. I sold my copy of Gex on PS1 for £139 on Ebay a few days ago over here in the UK and my copy of Gauntlet Legends on N64 sold recently too. (I still have tons of games to sell and more that I haven't listed yet)

I buy my video games how ever I can from online to hunting in stores. I love the thrill of getting good deals on games.
I hunt at yard sales, garage sales, flea markets, pawn shops and I place "IN SEARCH OF" ads on fb in my local swap and shop groups. Rule of 3, if it's not priced cheap where i can make 3x as much as I pay then I pass MOST of the time. Piddly ass little profits of $10 here and there, etc, just doesn't cut it for me. The only time I buy from a game store is if it's a new title I just ABSOLUTELY wanna play or if they have been caught slipping on their price where I can make good money.

How do I primarily buy video games?
I tend to have a balance between ebay and Gamestop. Unless of course the plan was to flip it. I was primarily using ebay in bulk or on bid. for that. I had no idea about the haggling side of pawn shops and the like. Now my plan is to hit up these rural pawn shops I live by.

I'm a huge pokemon fan and owned pretty much all Gameboy through to Ds Pokemon titles, but when the Xbox One released, being a young kid who just had the console, i traded it all in for a whopping 99 dollars. Loved a bunch of DS Mario Games, played a bunch of Gamecube and N64 titles as well. Here in australia though, we really don't have video game stores outside of EBgames (Gamestop) and, even when you do find the odd "mum and pop" type of shop, the games are super expensive. As much as i love those older games, i'm not paying 100+ dollars for a 10+ year old DS game that didn't even release at that high a price.
Maybe one day i'll have the money and time to scour through facebook marketplace and get all those old systems and old games i enjoyed again so i can play the physical copies, but then again, 500 dollars for Pokemon Heartgold or Soul Silver with the Pokewalker can go jump. I want to re-live my childhood, not take out a 2nd mortgage.
I go to all of the above! Try to find the best prices for anything missing from my ps3 collection and always try to get them complete and in very good condition

Honestly buying video games here in Norway is kinda difficult. Unfortunately all physical video game stores no longer exist here and there are no pawn shops either. There's only general electronic stores that may have some games, but otherwise you gotta go online or digital games. We also dont have amazon or ebay (unless you want to pay for expensive shipping and 25% extra in import taxes. So yea, I mostly buy physical games through a couple online stores we have, thats about the only way :p

I wish i could hunt in my area, i went to a game store this weekend, guy wanted 100 for fortune street sealed when it sells for 70 average, and pkmn crystal he wanted 140 when its a 90$ game… so its hard here in my area
I used to buy all my collectors edition with the statues but they rarely make cool collectors editions anymore so I buy digital.
I mainly do pawnshops cause most of them around me Give me good deals I don't have a game store within a hour of my location and the few ones I been to really didn't find anything

I normally but my games from Amazon, GameStop every blue moon, a local St Louis store V-Stock but thier prices are a little high, or Best Buy.
I just normally but new stuff, I'm not to hot on Used stuff because I want to be the one who unwraps the game for the first time.

though i have been playing video games daily since 1985. for the last 8 years i have been trading 90% of my games on FB or kijiji
when i am finished with a game i post it looking to trade for something i have not played yet.
as an example i bought God of war. I have been making trades over and over again on that one game. after about 15 trades i am playing fary cry 6.
@phoenix resale: do you mind me asking, does your state do resellers licenses where you’re tax exempt on transactions made with the intent of reselling? i used to run a pawn shop in california and we had some resellers that didn’t have to pay tax for specific types of items (they usually had to specify whether their business deals in like tools versus guitars and tax exempt only applied to the type of products they typically resell). might be worth looking into if your state has something like that, if you don’t already have one.

Definitely for Ps1,Ps2,Ps3,PS Vita & Ps4 games. Far as the ps5, I'm not going to keep upgrading console after console. The ps4 is my last console by Sony.
