Thank you for sharing your favorite books and why they moved you so. It's so rare to hear someone to speak with such eloquence about their reading life :)
So many books you listed are formative for me!! Omg i have this feeling you may enjoy Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. One of my favorite books of all time, and our tastes seem similar
What a great selection of books! I'm happy to see a Jeanette Winterson book on your list. I am working my way through all of her works little by little. Just Kids is a favorite of mine also. I didn't expect to love it as much as i did. Rebecca was another surprise love for me. I put it off for years and when i finally read it , I loved it so much that i spent the rest of that year reading all of Du Maurier's novels - Frenchmen's Creek is my favorite so far..such a fun read.
The audience wants to know about those letters m'am. Also, I'm gonna say Baek Isak or Hoonie 😔🤧 I wonder, can a case be made for similarities between the tenderness of compassion and companionship between Beak Isak and Sunja, and Patti and Robert? While I love Pachinko, and have read similar tales like 'Wild Swans', one of the novels that never gets it's due in this multigenerational genre is The Good Earth by Pearl Buck. I read it more than ten years ago, so I haven't held it up to the light in a while, but I remember it being very tender and full of determination.
@@Difrapuccino BAEK ISAK, DING DING DING!!!!!!! i haven't read the good earth but i trust your taste so i totally should kekeke will definitely add that to my list 🥰

With you on Perfume and Patti Smith ; she is a great writer .
she really is truly a voice that needs to be heard!
Love Pachinko and a hundred years of solitude!!
multigenerational novels are something else!
The only 10 books that changed my life are the ones written by Steven Erikson called "Malazan Book of the Fallen"
never heard of this series! but that's probably because i'm not well-versed in fantasy fiction

Hello from Karori Aotearoa❤
hello from the other side of the world!
The movie for perfume frustrated me that they changed a few parts of the story that I loved from the book
yes, it was definitely condensed but i still loved it! i heard there was a series too but i haven't seen it
@@silveroceanletters wow really, I think the movie did more then condensing as well. Changed some pretty important plot points I think.
