I grew up in an era when you kept things a secret! Like fishing spots or surfing! I fished for GT’s for 30 years and since the UA-camS started posting videos like this I’ve seen a huge decrease in numbers of GT’s being caught here in Hawaii. It’s sad to see people doing what this guy is doing daily!
I can’t say this is quality since he looks and fishies a bit inexperienced. Anyone who catches baby jacks and keeps them for bait is someone I’m not going to be seen with. C&R the jacks people! Especially the baby’s! Killing a baby jack is taking #50 jacks out of the sea through out that 1 baby jacks life that he could’ve had and Reproduced.
Anyways keep fishing and C&R 🤙🏻

I have to drive over two hours to reach the ocean so I don’t get a chance to go that often but this coming week I’m going to go again with my squiddy bits and more knowledge of how to read the beach and see what I can do I will keep you posted. Thanks for the tips mate, ive only just started using lures and plastics and never seem to catch anything..
I think the live actions would be the best for me to just slowly reel in and stop every now and then as the popping of plastics hasn't caught me much so far..
I always take a second rod and just chuck a bloodworm on a hook and end up catching a flathead or some small bream but would love to just be able to chuck a lure on and get a few fish!
Thanks again and cheers from Australia!

Throw the baby fish back! Especially the Jacks.
You’re Popper technique needs a bit more of a pop and splash and a bubble trail. But it’s very hard to do that on a 13 foot surf rod. Get yourself a popping rod and I’m sure you’ll be catching more. 🤙🏻

For poppers you want to keep the rod under your arm and the the popper scoop the water that’s why the mouth is like that and for bomber lures or glider baits you want to move a little faster so you get what’s called a reaction bite before the fish realizes what it is

Keep it up with the great videos✌🏻

Hey Skipper I visit my pops once a month in Baja and we always try to go out for jurel and yellow tail... but honestly anything is always fun! Especially now that my pop is hitting 74 😎👍

How do you transport your poles outside the US? I go home to the Philippines & i had to use a KastKing telescopic rod to fish(salt water).

No offense bro but you are using the popper the wrong way. You're supposed to keep the rod tip low and twitch youre rod to the side because the popper needs to stay in the water not flying. No offense🙂

So I've recently got back into fishing and I've been watching your channel and been learning a lot. The only question I have for this video is that in the past you've talked about removing the treble hooks on your top water lures but have them on in this video. So have you switched back to treble hooks because you've noticed you're not catching as many fish?

Lol yeah but he never skipped a Senko lol once he realized we live in Maryland where bass fishing is impossible to make content on, I’m glad he changed it. I’ve been wondering when he would skip a Senko for almost two years lol

You should do a gulp vs squidy bits test that could be really interesting.

You run trebles on your lures??

  • @user-yg7rf6in8i
    @user-yg7rf6in8i 5 років тому

You’re ought to twitch it down and you’ll get more leverage on the lure which will ultimately give you a greater action...
