Hello my friend. Dewalt has proven itself. is a good brand. It is also one of the best brands in my country. Thank you for the introduction and information. See you. greetings.
Is it fairly easy to feather the trigger? I want to use this for a lower speed polishing on metal and was wondering if the trigger is smooth so i could feather it on and off to get a nice slow speed
Got mine in the mail finally. I can use the Flex Volt battery on it (mine's a 9 AH). What is a good attachment for grinding away plastic? I do a lot of car audio stuff and sometimes run into having to open up some holes for bigger aftermarket speakers
Hi CC, I haven't tried grinding on plastic, so I don't have any good guidance for you. I would think that coarse grit with a slow speed would be better to avoid clogging due to melting. But that's pure speculation on my part.
Nice review! That looks like a nice tool to have around the shop. However, as you noted, it's not cheap especially if you have to purchase the bits, battery & charger............
Thanks Steve. Yep there are definitely cheaper ways to get into the world of die grinders. This is a nice step up but I think I paid $10 for my last one at a garage sale.
IMO a Cordless Dremel offers more choices of use and would be a better choice for this type of tool. I own many Dewalt tools including a 60volt Grinder. I love Dewalt tools. Best on the market overall IMO
Yeah, I don’t understand why no spindle lock. It seems so obvious. They are going the wrong direction on that. Should be no-tool bit changes by now. Should be quieter too IMO. Other than that a pretty sweet setup.
No I don’t. Sorry. I don’t notice a power difference so it’s mostly just the convenience of cordless. My corded die grinder was an old beast so not really a worthwhile comparison.
Hi Chris, here are the to burrs that are shown in the video: Kutzall Rotary Burr Bit: amzn.to/2IlU98h SC-5 Tungsten Carbide Burr Rotary File Cylindrical Shape: amzn.to/30UPSif
Yes, Chef. Here you are, my friend. It was in the description but I'll provide it here for your convenience: DEWALT DCG426B 20V Max Variable Speed Die Grinder amzn.to/3jNNVvH
Thanks. Been looking at die grinders for exactly the same projects and change over from my dremel as I feel it's a tad slow at shaping wood.
Thanks Steve 👍

Thanks for your comment, Sahane. Great to hear that Dewalt is strong in Turkey as well. Cheers, Paul
I just noticed this dewalt die grinder looks a lot like my kobalt die grinder I got.
Only difference is battery plate form and color lol
There are often important differences in motor and gears as well. But it is also entirely possible that it’s identical under the plastic.

This tool offers great control. I think you will like the user experience
@@ToolMetrix Awesome thank you

Great info and tutorial as usual . thanks
Thanks Ahron!

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers
A more in depth video on carving with that would be great
Thanks, Aaron. I'm on it! :)
Thanks Paul. The extra length and the led lights would be nice. No spindle lock is a slight disappointment.

Where do you shop for the grinding tips? I would be mainly using it to sharpen my sawmill bands.
You can find links to the bits that I use for carving. You should be able to find most any bit on Amazon. Home centers carry a lot of them as well.
Nice review👍 What brand cutters do you recommend?
Thank you. I've included links in the description to a couple of the burrs that I like. Cheers, Paul
Two wrenches is pretty bad, I’ll need to make some kind thing to be sure I won’t loose the wrenches because they always get lost
Hi Shenya, Yeah, not ideal. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers, Paul
Can you use this in masonry work too.
Yes, you can use the die grinder on masonry work. Look for special bits that mention masonry work such as this one: amzn.to/3dxarqc
@@ToolMetrix awesome thank you for getting back to me
Do you have any comparison to a corded die grinder?
No I don’t. Sorry. I don’t notice a power difference so it’s mostly just the convenience of cordless. My corded die grinder was an old beast so not really a worthwhile comparison.
What kinda tip is he grinding with? (The round looking one)

What size shank does it use
1/4”
Great review from someone who can say a lot in a short time which I value highly. Will look at your channel for possible subscription.
Thanks Stephen! I appreciate your feedback and possible sub. Cheers
Why is it called a "die" grinder?
A lot of people have died while using them. J/k, they were originally used to make dies and molds.
@@ToolMetrix 🤣
It would have been useful to mention the model number don't you think? Guess not!.
Thanks for watching. Check in the description. Should be a link there. Cheers Chef.
