It's protective style season so I did Marley twists over my locs...for the FIRST TIME!!

- Hey baes, for my 31st birthday I decided to switch things up and do Marley twists over my locs! This is the first time I've done a protective style over my locs but Marley twists were my go to style to do when I had lose natural hair so I was excited to give this a try!

I usually use the Cuban twist hair for my 2 strand loc style but I love this look and I will be trying it out on myself. Thanks for the tutorial and may God bless you.

I kept it in for about two weeks! I could have left it in for longer but I missed my locs lol
Heck locks look better,yes this is cute too, but it seems you didn’t need protective style
I did a protective style but now my locs are thinner and I don’t know what to do😢
It may have been too tight/ heavy

Why is it called "protective"? You're literally covering your hair with someone else's hair (or synthetic fiber remnants🥴). Cute style. Protection, not so much.

It's protective because it keeps your hair away from the elements and minimizes friction, which leads to breakage. It's part of the culture. Let's not be rude just because you don't understand it, and if you don't understand it then lucky for you this is UA-cam, you can educate yourself.
Ce sont des mèches synthétique en aucun cas elle appartiennent à quelqu'un. Et en recouvrant les cheveux ils sont plus en contact direct avec l'air extérieur , les frottements , on manipule moins les longueurs . Ça permet de laisser ses cheveux en paix et les coiffure protectrice ça peu être des coiffure sans aucun rajouts
