That’s awesome! So glad when we can hold onto a piece of someone’s legacy!
Good collection, great memories! Thanks for sharing
That's a great story about the birth of your son and how both family members got the same knife for you. That's a story worth telling. I love the cork idea. I have a bag of old corks wonder what I can do with them. Problem solved. Great video. Hope your son likes his knife.
I have a bunch of sentimental knives, and other stuff :D Too much according to my wife! Got a few knives after my grandfather that I never would get rid of. Thanks for sharing yours stories!
Awesome! It’s always nice to hang onto someone else’s legacy. Cheers!
Love the 503, it's my EDC. You've got a great collection!
My dad gave me a Buck Ranger that he had got from Union Pacific Rail Road where he worked. I was 7 when he gave it too me and I remember I couldn't close the blade because how stiff it was, so I'd always have to have him close it for me. I lost it in a few moves that we did and was bummed out for a long time that I couldn't find it. When he was diagnosed with cancer, I found it and now it sits in my display case and doesn't get used. I also have a Buck 100 year anniversary 110 that I got when my dad passed away.
Those are some great knives and great stories to go along with them. That Elyco is really cool! I've never seen anything like that before.
Hi Paul! Yeah it’s really interesting. I hadn’t seen anything like it either. I actually haven’t done any research into the brand, who knows if they’re still around, but it’s definitely old. I’m glad you commented on this video, I’m going to look into it!
Great blades with great stories.
Thanks!
House of Blades still exists in Fort Worth, TX
Great stories. Great knives.
My first knife was from my God father on my first communion. Think I was 8 years old. Still have it.
Nice! Do you remember what kind of knife it is?
@@GearedTowardGear1 oops. Meant to mention that ... SAK. Still have and it use it.
Amazing collection 👍
Thanks man.
My 2 most cherished knives, unfortunately are MIA... first, Ontario xm1 combat deployed. Was issued to me overseas and was stolen. Unfortunately its discontinued, and finding one in decent shape is near impossible. Second is a crkt m16sf my battle gave to me at the end of our last tour. That one was lost by my ex.
I love the stories behind yours... cool video.
Also my 8 year old daughters bday is 4/10.... lol
Nice!! Well when you receive your Kabar Dozier from me tomorrow you can call that your most sentimental knife. 🤓
Bummer about the most knives man. I’ve lost a few in my day and it sucks, especially when they were combat deployed or gifts.
What are your go-to hunting knives? I'm saving up for a Winkler myself.
To be honest I’m not huge into fixed blades but I do hunt occasionally. I always carry a Buck 110 folding hunter on my belt as well as an old Case brand fixed blade skinner (couldn’t tell you the model).
Cool story about the duplicate knives. Some of my favorite knives are not great quality.
Thanks, bud! I’m with you, price isn’t everything and some of my favorites are super cheap.
