I am Davis Stillson, I produced Howard's videos for UA-cam and Howard and I collaborated on many projects together. I will be admin of his youtube channel with his wife Estelle. Howard Morgen passed away February 15, 2012. We all miss him dearly. He was my friend and mentor in music and in life. For some months now, we had no access to his UA-cam Channel and we have not been able to post videos to his account. We also had no direct way to access all his messages and comments until today.

just found this through some videos where he was teaching and it was so easy to understand, I'm buying his books and online courses, thank you! May he rest in peace.

Davis, do you know if Howard used an amp or only mic's? That Eastman has such great tone, it sounds like it was plugged in.

came across some of howard’s truefire lessons and found him delightful and the lessons extremely helpful and inspirational. found this channel and was delighted again to see him in a UNC hat - i went to UNC and lived in carrboro for many years after and consider it a second home. thank you for helping share howard’s legacy!

Howard's book "Concepts" was, more than any other instructional material, influential in helping me my fingerstyle jazz chops together. He'll always hold a special place in my heart. Years ago I wrote and thanked him for how important his work had been to my development and, ever the gentleman, he took the time to write me back. God bless and keep him.

Every time I see you have something new I drop everything and check it out. Amazing playing...! I have to learn how to voice on the bottom four strings, that's such an incredible sound.

I like the new backdrop. Love how you open up the mysteries of the fret board at the same time playing so soulful. You are a master of this world of standards... the harmony, the composing that seems endless in possible interpretations. Thanks for the experience. As we age we fear becoming irrelevant but a guy like you points to what is musically universal. Thanks for putting your gifts out there.

Stunning - so imaginative - I love the use of the open notes and those tiny bits of dissonance. I have a book by Howard Morgen and its brilliant - Arranging for Jazz Guitar - some really great tips in it folks - recommended.
