This is wronderful, I am English and know very little about Native Americans, so a real eye opener. I bought a squash blossom necklace with naja and am very proud of it.
Beautiful art. I could watch this all day. What a wonderful variety! Such great quality! So many scrumptious pieces of that wonderful sky stone. Loved it, Dave. Every piece a treasure! ❤👍
Nothing more entertaining than LD geekn out over turquoise. Great video always learned a lot and can’t wait to track these guys down and buy some works of art. Thank you Dave!
What an amazing opportunity to see and learn about Native American jewelry. Such a stunning presentation of Turquoise, Silver and other beautiful stones 😍😍😍 Thanks for sharing this Dave, very inspiring 🙏🙏🙏
I am loving your videos. I've collected various stones over 40 yrs, including some good turquoise and recently I've had such a pull towards it again. 🤔💚✌️
@@lapidarydave Naw,...I think you are just brilliant and sparklingly intelligent and amazingly giving and sharing. Thank you for sharing your experiences and interviews with us all. You really do rock, Dave. Thanks
Wonderful, pleasant conversation to be in on. Learned so much listening to this interaction. It was a pleasure hearing these skills and I would have not heard this anywhere else. I appreciate the skill and knowledge you both share. Hearing the quality and good taste of this merchant, makes me want to look up his jewelry. I can tell he’s got years of experience. I have to acknowledge how appreciative he is of his wife, it’s very refreshing to hear that kind of respect towards a spouse.
It’s wonderful to hear your descriptions and to view these wonders, amazing talent , feel Ike being back there, it’s been a good twenty years. Thank you, so, so much! 👏🏽💫
Благодарю за доставленные эстетическое удовольствие! Я русская, но мне очень нравится искусство всех народов мира, и в частности коренных американцев. Это поистине прекрасно!Бирюза великолепна!Искусство объединяет людей
Just watched this again ❤ At the Yuma show I bought a beautiful coral and Sleeping Beauty necklace that was made by Eric. Next month I’m going to their Denver show, can’t wait!
OK now the tiny sliver bezels are blowing my mind! Sorry Dave, I can’t help the comment throughout this video. This seller is amazing. I want to be a stowaway in their trailer lol.
I’m so glad I learned about the ‘foxtail’ for stringing because I have a squash blossom necklace that was my moms that needs to be restrung! I’m so excited to now restring it! Thank you so much Dave!! ❤ So Dave- I have all my grandmas store stock from her Native American ‘trading post’ store - just boxes of silver, turquoise, coral jewelry etc from the 60s/70’s - beautiful stuff I never knew what to do with it so I’ve just kept it.. I don’t know how to get its value or trust anyone to get a real value- do you know someone I could contact if I would decide to sell part of it?
My daddy always said walk with your eyes down not in humility but curiosity.... found a turquoise necklace, hand crafted, untreated, with a big copper filled mainstone!😃
I have a few pieces my mom bought when my parents crossed the country in the 40s. Mostly silver pieces. I buy turquoise but cannot afford the price of these gorgeous pieces.
I have a vast amount of Hubei I mean killer ... I loaded it already up here check it out .. the ring with the red in it looks to be chrysocolla with cuprite ....
Yeah and when you see these ads saying " Tibetan Turquoise..." There's another Collector that I watched here on utube and he said " yes definitely Tibetan Turquoise is beautiful but I dare you to go there and just try to leave the country with a piece of it. It'd be your first and only mistake!" He said the Turquoise stones there are held in such high regard that they forbid it from leaving the country so there's no way they're selling you Real legit Tibetan Turquoise. Just telling you what the guy said it would be a huge Crime if anyone were caught trying to take any size piece out. So, don't fall for the " Real Tibetan Turquoise scam. I was buying a online squash blossom necklace 2 yrs ago which never arrived you wouldn't believe what I had to go through to finally get my money back! So I stopped buying online for my collection. I would consider this place though and Thank you for sharing it 💙 💚 I've been addicted to Native American jewelry for years and years now. My grandma was Apache and I wasn't allowed any of her jewelry Dad always said " one day it will be yours" I inherited all of it a few years ago and it's been like getting to know her in a different way but one I'm thankful for because she passed away when I was a baby. And I am also glad I was made to wait because I was older and more mature and I was able to appreciate the history and artistry of Native American jewelry the silversmithing all of it 💙 💚
very interesting but it’s a little hard to believe I have a lot of friends from Tibet that bring over crystals and bring me to bed and turquoise directly even invite me to come out there to check out the scene. Maybe that was the case at one time or another or maybe even this person’s experience just kidding, hustled, and intimidated much like what happens in Mexico either way that is a great story and thank you so much for sharing your passion for this type of jewelry and about your grandmother. I really appreciate you watching and would love to hear more about this Tibetan turquoise situation. It’s very interesting.
Hi Mary, thanks for watching. That's a great observation, and a very correct assessment. All the sales folks do wear inventory in the showroom. In fact, the rule is "don't wear your own jewelry unless you are prepared to part with it" (except for wedding rings :)). We don't want someone to be disappointed if they love an item and then are told it's not for sale. Because Eric often does small repairs, he doesn't wear inventory as it might get scratched or damaged while doing so. Every now and then we can talk him into wearing a bolo tie :). Thanks, and have a great day! Tamara, AIS
@@tamaraanderson8392 that makes sense but (I think) he should wear the stuff he’s selling and be able to part with it! 🤪 it’s too beautiful not to display it on actual people! I would be more than happy to sell it and wear it proudly! But that’s just me and everyone is not me! 😂

What exactly is stabilizing? I really like all natural things. Is that possible with turquoise?
@@Jupefires most turquoise 90% or more is stabilized or hardened with resins or other materials
Natural is less common and a lot more collectible
