That song and video came out not long after I had spent two summer holidays travelling all over Norway and I thought how incredibly Norwegian she looked (which she does). It was only when I saw the show that I found out that she was English. To quote Phil Collins at Live Aid - "Funny old world, innit?".

The cafe was a “greasy spoon” in Lambeth London and is clearly recognisable of a type of cafe that only existed in Britain. Greasy Spoons are becoming rare now, but would match up with the retro look of the comic book bikers.
That video clip got over 1 billion views. Only one other video clip that I know of on UA-cam received more views, that being the Gotye song Somebody That I Used To Know.

What I like is how the video to "The Sun Always Shines on TV" is a sort of sequel (or continuation) of the video to "Take on Me".
I always liked Sun Always Shines better than Take On Me. Had a harder edge to it.
IIRC : Take On Me was judged the best music video of the 20th century. Must feel great to be a part of something so popular and historic
