Yes to bra fitting. I found my bra fitting appointment to be a revelation -I was shocked to find out that I'd been in the totally wrong bra for years. The correct size fit comfortably and made my torso look longer and more slender. Also, if you're interested in tackling how to spot poor quality I'd love a vid on that too - even from higher end stores/higher price tags e.g., spotting materials not fit for the purpose, poor construction, unsuitable hardware, fasteners etc. I was very annoyed to see a $900+ price tag attached to an unlined winter coat, made of mainly cotton and synthetics recently for example. What climate would that work for I wonder?
Audrey, if you could do a video on learning about the designer secrets of quality, I am sure we could all learn a few tricks. Shopping in thrift stores, I always look for vintage Ralph Lauren, and pure wool Irish fisherman knit sweaters. There is so much Fast Fashion out there, we all need to calculate our cost-per-wear. We can apply this to handbags and classic jewelry. Thanks in advance 👏❤️🎉👏
Hello Audrey You know what I just love listening to the poetic and musical vibe speaking style of yours Rich Content is there always but your calming voice smile and persona is so enchanting that I have become addicted to your voice
Rather than spend lots on sunglasses, I like to buy an inexpensive vintage pair that suits me perfectly, then get my optician to swap the lenses out (I go for prescription lenses, which give proper UV protection). For a £60 charge plus say the £10 for the vintage sunglasses I get a pair that’s perfect for me, and they’re still significantly cheaper than many status brand sunglasses.
you use pounds, I guess you're in the uk, any opticians you recommend there to get sunglasses new lenses? I don't have prescriptions but I do have extremely sensitive eyes so I would benefit from this thank you
nice video, useful suggestions. In my experience though, high price doesn't always equal high quality. I've bought pieces from expensive brands, but not all have been of good quality. Then I really regret it! I would really appreciate a video where you share how you check for quality a piece of garment. Thx.
Dana V, How to check: look at it and feel it, get to know the proper material when you can confirm with labels. Go to stores that have it and learn, you don't have to buy. I can identify Egyptian cotton sheets blindfolded just by feeling them when I am at a thrift store. When you're at a thrift store, look at the label sown into the side inside the garment and read what it's made of. Look at the stitching, look for reliable brands, look to see if you like or love it. Learn, over time you will gain pattern recognition. You can find amazing high quality clothes for less than $10 at thrift and second hand stores.
I love your sand and black outfit. The sand colored sweater, coat, bag, and black pants are a hit! Speaking of finding high quality items at a great price I recently found 3 Saks 5th Avenue cashmere sweaters, yes 3 (brand new with tags) in my local Goodwill store for $6.99 each! They were just put on the rack that day. What a lucky find.
Wow! My Goodwill is not very good. I rarely find quality items. Lately their prices are ridiculous too. A smelly, old, wool coat for 80 dollars, just because it had a popular brand tag.
Have you considered doing a video regarding hangers, show trees, boot stands etc.? There is such a wide range of items to assist in the care and preserving condition of clothing and especially leather goods, I would love to see and hear your ideas.
Hi Audrey, yes, a video on properly fitting undergarments. Additionally, information on what is high-quality wool and how to determine it (feel, strength (pull it), texture, softness).
When I want to try something new, I’ll thrift it to try it out. If it’s a keeper, I don’t mind investing in quality pieces with a higher price. Most recently it was Chelsea boots and a trench coat. The boots were a win out of the gate, so I will definitely invest in a quality pair next time. The trench coat…it wasn’t until the third try when I switched from khaki tones to black that I finally found myself grabbing for it on the regular.
Yes to a video on quality materials in bras, as well as characteristics of high-quality wool and cashmere. I wear a lot of those fibers, and some last better than others, but I'm struggling to figure out why some last and others don't.
Hi Audrey! i just came across your videos and im so blown away! im 27 and trying to figure out how i want to dress more maturely and your videos are a delight! i really appreciate you creating these videos for people like me who really need them!
Great ideas. I have come to discover the very same things . Yes anytime I can find a beautiful vintage piece I know it is not only unique but I will have it forever. Great video
Yes, pl do a video on undergarments, esp bras! Also, pl, do a video on how to spot quality. You mentioned that you learned how to spot different quality of cashmire and good quality handbags, pl tell us what exactly to look for. Also, how best to store our Merino wool and our cashmire sweaters?
As a Certified Vanity Fair Bra Fitter for over 18 years I recommend you go to your favorite lines website. Usually they have bra fit tutorial or a 1-800 number you can talk live to a Certified Bra Fitter. There are still in person/in store Fit Events around Mother's Day and Back to School. Well fittings undergarments are called " foundations " for a reason. They are the "foundation to looking and feeling fantastic in your clothes!
Yes audry I would love a natural fabric bra, wireless and full coverage.i have a larger bust and haven't been able to locate this item.thank you for considering this video.
Hey Audrey! I love your style and videos. Would you consider doing a home tour? I'd love to see how your classy and elegant style comes through in home decor.
Agree with you on jewelry and accessories to go high quality more expensive. The base layers can be less expensive if your accessories are of higher quality. Thanks and happy holidays 🙏🏽
I thought I'd commented here!! I bought the Thursday Captain boots after seeing them on your channel, and trying to find something comparable online or in the shops near me (partly because I'm in the UK and it seemed silly to purchase something from the States if I didn't need to!). I kept coming back to their site - everything else I found was glued together, or had a zip as well as the laces, and eventually I decided if I couldn't find anything similar, I might as well splash out and get the same boots. And I love them, they work so well with my casual style, I've worn them so much since I first got them three years ago, as I knew I would. They took a very little bit of breaking in but I've worn boots before, but it was very little breaking indeed and they really are so comfortable. I've also found a love for cashmere jumpers (sweaters, to you Americans) and have found some really lovely second-hand cashmere on eBay, including a beautiful honey yellow one from Charter Club and a gorgeous moss green one originally from John Lewis. So thank you for helping me to refine my comfortably casual style to something a little more refined! Be aware of perhaps lesser known brands that have the same level of quality as more well-known brands. For example, I've got a Jack Murray waxed cotton jacket that is just as comfortable and does the same job in practically every respect. I was trying to get a Barbour jacket but even on eBay they frequently start in triple digit figures and when you're on a budget, even that can be out of reach.
And speaking of quality, I have absolutely fallen in love with Sabina Savage scarves since I saw yours, however, the size I want is $500 which I would not spend on a scarf. I am watching the used clothing sites, but I think they get snapped up quickly. Looking at her website is like a trip through an art museum. Also, I have been looking for a pendant cameo on a long gold chain. I already tried the costume route and it did not look good. Could you mention a couple of sites for second hand gold jewelry? Thank you.
Oh, please DO produce that bra-fit and quality materials video! A well-fitted bra is particularly important to those of us who are larger busted. A great bra for us can make the difference between dowdy-grandma looking and nicely shaped.
Yes to quality in bras and foundation garments, jewelry I collect vintage costume usually from the 60s Napier etc they were made to last and fit todays more traditional style of jewelry...yes to silk scarves...I have quite a collection some vintage...when I travel anywhere in Europe I look for scarf shops I have some gorgeous unique ones..my fav shop is in St.Paul de Vemce above Nice...impressionist paintings..not THOSE are real collectibles for an artist or art lover! They make the best, easiest to carry home, souvenirs and every time I wear one it takes me back to warm summer days there and around Nice. I have scarves I bought in London, Paris, Florence...such happy memories.
Very helpful hints and yes to a bra fitting video, but what interested me most is your outfit in the video. The sweater and belt are beautiful. This fall and winter I’ve wanted to add burgundy accessories and shoes into my wardrobe but no luck. Any suggestions? Also would mind sharing where you found your sweater? I love the higher neck and color.
Oooooo…Miss Audrey I clicked the link to the Barbour jackets. 😮 I added that brand to my list. I will be needing a new jacket of this quality soon. You really find some nice items. I particularly like their quilted jackets…very stylish for the slightly modern looks I like. Oh so nice…😊🧥❤
Admittedly, I thought none of this would be applicable to me (because I just don’t feel great spending a lot on my wardrobe, typically). But, I had to pause and say I’m kinda really excited to perhaps look for vintage jewelry! It sounds oddly exciting and comforting. Haha
I am divorced and purchase my own jewelry, no more gifts from hubby. I hit the jewelry case in every antique mall I go to. I found a lovely amethyst ring for $70. I took it to my jeweler (my neighbor) to clean & look at prongs & he said he would buy it from me for $200 to sell in his store. 18k gold Victorian piece he said he could sell for $800 to $1,000. So yes, check out the jewelry. I also visit pawn shops. I got my mother a string of pearls for $50 and they turned out to be incredibly valuable. I wear turquoise everyday, all my turquoise rings & bracelets are from two pawn stores I visit every time I go to New Mexico to visit a dear friend. ☺️
Great video. These tips are especially appropriate for people whose weight does not fluctuate regularly. Unfortunately for me a severe angle injury caused a lot of weight gain which made my wardrobe unwearable. It forced me to collect another size, and I thrifted as much as possible but also had to resort to clearance fast fashion due to price point. Now that my ankle is well again and I've been losing weight, some of those pieces no longer fit either. It's very frustrating. Honestly tiny solid gold and silver jewelry disappears with my broad shoulders and large bust and look ridiculous. Until I lose a significant amount of weight, I'm buying cheap costume jewelry that yes I'll have to throw away sooner but large real gold pieces are out of the question financially. You're so right about good handbags though. I've been able to Thrift all of mine, one of them was a $350 bag I got for less than $10 at a Goodwill.
Yes, I really like buying pre-loved cashmere sweaters! And you can also find a lot of really interesting bags of good brands (there're not only Gucci and LV in the world, for example in my district in the center of Paris (le 6ème, Saint-Germain-des-Prés) it's a kind of ridiculous to wear the brands like these, it's more sophisticated to know some more items with history.
The comment about investing in 14k gold because you live in a humid, warm climate is ... yeah, a decision I've had to make as well. NoVA isn't as hot & humid as where you are, but it's up there, and my vermeil pieces seem to tarnish so darn quickly. I'll have to look into vintage pieces to see if I can build out more of my jewelry that way. (I love Mejuri, but I also crave something different.)
I always am willing to spend more money on good quality shoes. I think they elevate outfits, wear longer and better, and usually are much more comfortable.
Random question: When you get your hair cut, what do you tell the stylist? I always leave less-than thrilled. Layered with angles? bangs? I have the same texture and wave pattern as you and would love the help! Thank you
Please do a video on what constitutes quality in various items . There are many expensive clothing lines that are of poor quality materials & poorly constructed - high price or a designer label does not equal high quality . No matter how well we coordinate our clothing , what colors to choose or classics or trends , quality comes first .
Hi Audrey, I love to watch your videos because they are informative & helpful. I would love to learn about finding the right bra since it has been & still is a challenge for me to know how to find the right bra. Thx.
I enjoy your videos so much! Very informative and well-presented too. About 'solid gold' --- I always thought it was very soft and really not wearable. Therefore isn't all gold jewelry a mix of several metals? I agree that most expensive handbags are a worthy investment, but you still have to look for a classic design. Over the years I've tried to avoid cashmere or wool sweaters simply because they attract moths and are hard to take care of. I find that polyester blends are soft and stretchy and so easy to clean and store. Keep up the wonderful videos!
Hi Audrey, how about a video the exact opposite of this, " Expensive Products Absolutely Not Worth The Money." I think this would be valuable, as well. And maybe you already have one of these in your video collection? Not sure. Thanks a bunch.
I would love more information about bras and underwear!! Also, I find quality footwear is worth the money. I found some great tips from some of your previous videos, and I was actually surprised this wasn't mentioned here. Maybe a part 2, along with scarves, winter jackets? 🤔
The only expensive luxury items I own are leather belts. I own a blk leather Gucci belt. A slim YSL brown leather belt and a black Hermes belt. I hate labels and monograms on my clothing, but just a designer belt makes me feel put together and complete without trying to hard. I own a very nice pair of diamond earrings that I had screw post put on them and I mostly wear those studs every day. Occasionally, I will wear some hoop earrings or pearl earrings, so I spent money on those.
Definitely would love a bra fitting video! Even focusing on how to find a bra that feels good to wear and give you the shape that you want. I have a bigger bust and I find it so hard to find bras that work and give me the look that I usually want.
Thank you, Audrey, for a great video! I agree with you almost on everything. I live on the 60th latitude, so I always pay attention to good coats (trenches and puffer or quilted coats and jackets), warm and comfortable shoes and quality knitwear. Large scarves are handy as well. I like layers that can be added fast and taken off fast. Outside it can be cold, but the houses are nice and warm. We don´t much wear wool coats, the wind can be biting, but if you wear a very thin quilted coat under your wool coat, that might be quite ok. I m going to try it. Sometimes is nice to be dressed in a civilized manner and not to look like the abominable snowman, yeti.
Hello, I have been watching your videos lately and I love the way you approach personal style. I was wondering if you could suggest some brands for pants, I am petite xs and I have a really hard time finding pants that fit in a flattering way, so I was hoping you could suggest some brands that could help me with that. And also yes, I it would be wonderful if you talk about undergarments because they definitely make a huge difference on how your top layers feel and look. Thank you take care
Bra fit, materials, frequency of purchase (I'm hoping it isn't as often as I have been told, when buying truly good quality??) are all things I still need to learn more about -- yes please share your knowledge and insight!
Considering the newer styles of bras that are advertised now, I would benefit a lot if you could take some of the guesswork out when buying a bra. Thanks again for a helpful video Audrey!
Hi Audrey, just wanted to say that that burgundy/purpleish sweater looks sooo good on you and with your colours. Very jealous. :-) Great video! ♡ Ps: I wonder if you ever consider to make a "how do you wear green" video? It'd be greatly appreciated! :-)
Bra fitting would be very informative. I had to go back and watch your first video again because I was, wait, what about high quality shoes :-). A cobbler as well as a tailor is your friend. Thanks, this was a fun video.
I stop buying cashmere and merino wool sweaters due to yarn moths issue. All my stash got holes everywhere even though I soaked and cleaned before shelving.
Jenesis, that's sad. There are ways that work to prevent it: Take care to store clothes made of wool, fur, or feathers in tightly sealed plastic storage bins or compression storage bags. Place suits, dresses, or other hanging clothes in garment bags, sealed and without holes (tape over any seams or joints). Avoid fabric containers, which moths can eat through. Airtight storage isn’t the only solution, though. Keeping your closets open and moving clothing around frequently will help prevent moths from wanting to hang around in your closet, because they hate light and movement.
I would love to see a video on bra fitting! This is a huge pet peeve of mine, that I only can find sports bras that feel and fit okay! Love your video feed so very much!!
I would love to have you do a RAW in a video! Especially with good outlet to purchase high-quality bras from. I have found it very difficult find good high-quality rod at a store where they know how to properly.
Hi Audrey, I have a question about wool coats: I‘ve been wantig a wool coat for a year now. But it is really hard to find a coat that is made from 100% wool. (Even the ones that cost 400). The only ones I could find were designer. So I wanted to know if it is crucial to have a coat that is 100% wool or if a blend is fine as well? And also: Do you have any experience with Vestiaire Collective?
Hello; Sophia! I´m not Audrey, but I have some experience with VC. I have some good and some not so good experience with them. The not so good experience is related to buying items by Hermès. There have been two incidents that didn´t go that well, I got my money back, but they put the items on sale again. When I have bought things by less known manufacturers, I have been happy with them. Last year I bought a Harris tweed blazer by the brand Brora at VC. It is beautiful and it cost about 50 euros. Summa summarum I´d say one can buy anything there, but with some luxury items one should be extra careful.
Not Audrey either. You can find 100% wool at consignment stores and online sites like eBay and Poshmark. I lucked out a few years back and found a long black one, 100% wool, made in Italy, slightly oversized but in my size for $15 at a local thrift store. I’ve also found Aquascutum raincoats at thrift stores and auctions. They’re classic, superb quality and just as good as Burberry but the name isn’t as well known outside of the U.K. I’ve currently got my eye on coats made by a local brand. They sometimes have wool synthetic blends that are just as good as some designer brands for one tenth the price. Which brands depend on where you’re located but it is still possible to get quality coats without paying a fortune for a designer brand everyone knows about. I learn about brands by looking for quality pieces at thrift stores, talking to friends and reading posts on Reddit.
Hi Audrey, it would be a great idea to inform us about good quality underwear, bras, how to determine the right size etc. Thank you!
She has already done a video about that in the past.
@@awsome182 this is true, however, in this video she asked if she should do a new video on the topic
@@awsome182She has ? Audrey has

Audrey you are a mouse of elegance thank you for all that you share with all of us. I would love to learn from you etiquette … elegance and poise
I always am willing to spend more money on good quality shoes. I think they elevate outfits, wear longer and better, and usually are much more comfortable.
Nique Stenz, quality shoes don't have to be expensive. Crocs are an excellent example. Under $40.
Please do an undergarment fitting video!
Smart, informative, classy ideas! Thanks 😘
Great video! Quality always shows and is always a good investment. Quality over price, but quality usually comes with a higher price. Totally work it!
Audrey, if you are in the hunt for a trench jacket, maybe Jack Wills will work? I found one during a trip to London that is absolutely beautiful ♥️
Hi Audrey, I love to watch your videos because they are informative & helpful. I would love to learn about finding the right bra since it has been & still is a challenge for me to know how to find the right bra. Thx.
An undergarment video would be great! I haven't purchased anything new after having a baby last year, and I'd love to hear some guidance!
As always, a lovely video. Can you give me information on the belt you are wearing in this video? The color is divine.
A nice raincoat is one I've overlooked. Good list!
Absolutely adore your style and tips on how to achieve it, thank you 🌸
I enjoy your videos so much!
Mil gracias, Audrey 🌻
Hi Audrey, how about a video the exact opposite of this, " Expensive Products Absolutely Not Worth The Money." I think this would be valuable, as well. And maybe you already have one of these in your video collection? Not sure. Thanks a bunch.
She did one fairly recently:

I love the outfit you are wearing in this video
Audrey, I am pretty much the same size and build as you, what are some of your favorite bras? Thanks!
I absolutely love the maroon /burgundy sweater that you are wearing! Brand please? Thank you!!
Yes please for the bra fitting and for suggestions as to where to buy good quality bras (but hopefully also affordable 🙈). Thank you! Xx
I love the hairstyle on you and the color of the outfit suits you so well ☺
Hello, I have been watching your videos lately and I love the way you approach personal style.
Yes pleease video about bras and where there are good ones!
A great video Going to look for a cashmere sweater at a thrift shop what a great idea
I wear almost always lounge bras in stretchy material or stretchy lace. Being small chested, lounge bras are enough to support and being modest.
Hi Audrey, just wanted to say that that burgundy/purpleish sweater looks sooo good on you and with your colours. Very jealous. :-) Great video! ♡ Ps: I wonder if you ever consider to make a "how do you wear green" video? It'd be greatly appreciated! :-)
Check her past videos. She did an entire color series.
Yes, yes, yes, a video on undergarment!
hi Audrey! what are you wearing in the cutaway with the green clutch?
Bra fitting would be very informative. I had to go back and watch your first video again because I was, wait, what about high quality shoes :-). A cobbler as well as a tailor is your friend. Thanks, this was a fun video.
Spending more on shoes that you know you will wear for several years is worth it.
Hey Audrey....for your trench coat....have you considered Burberry? Absolutely the best! Worrh every penny
Oh my, that gorgeous deep burgundy belt 😍 chefs kiss.
Sezane Scott trench fits my petite frame so beautifully that I have all of the colors!
How I learned this was overspend, but underbuy. Spend the same amount of money, but on fewer, better things.
I would love to see a video on bra fitting! This is a huge pet peeve of mine, that I only can find sports bras that feel and fit okay! Love your video feed so very much!!
I would love to know where we can find these vintage and second hand shops!
I would love to have you do a RAW in a video! Especially with good outlet to purchase high-quality bras from. I have found it very difficult find good high-quality rod at a store where they know how to properly.
Thank you ❤
Also things worth the time looking for (spend less money): white t shirts, vintage jeans, sneakers, ballet flats, socks
I lucked out a few years back and found a long black one, 100% wool, made in Italy, slightly oversized but in my size for $15
at a local thrift store.
Where did you get that beautiful belt?
I am always losing/breaking sunglasses, so it'll always be cheap ones for me!
Definitely! I have three kids to grab mine borrow them, scratch them up lose them LOL I even sat on a pair I left in my driver's seat
Same. And with jewellery too. The only jewellery I don't tend to lose is necklaces that I can shower in. Everything else goes into the abyss.
Could you tell us where you purchase your belts?
I thought. You would also mention shoes
I included that in my first video like this :) linked in the description box
I still have my Maui Jim’s from 1987 and still wear them!!😊
Your belt is beautiful!
Where is it from?
Hi Audrey, I'm on board for a foundation wear video. Thank you!
