- Today we finally share the sad news about the Mudster's E-Code headlamps. I want to thank @Involvod for taking the time to ship them my way along with some other bits. I am still looking for E-codes to replace the one's lost if anyone has a set. Otherwise I'll be saving up for an aftermarket set like we have no installed on the silver 245.

Hey dean those lights are a million times brighter and the Maine plate is 🆒😂, thanks for the shout out!😉
Thanks again! Its a pretty obvious upgrade lol. We love the plate btw.
Huge bummer those headlights got busted but dang, the new E-Codes from FCP look absolutely amazing! I just can't justify how much they cost because that's almost as much as I pay for a 240 😂 they look so incredibly bright at night though and that's honestly worth the investment, especially living in rural areas!
If I ever rescue a super clean 240 and can afford them, I will definitely be investing in these!
I understand the long work weeks and then funding all the builds! I picked up some extra hours to help fund my projects and then I don't have free time or energy after the daily grind to film/edit. Happy to be a Patreon member and I know it's not a lot, but I hope it helps!!
Its a part of the beast I guess. Whatever I get from patreon goes into the cost of production right now. Maybe in a couple years I can break even.
Imvolvo'd makes the best Volvo videos!!!
I wish he still made videos :(
@@DeanofMachines me too. He'd motivate me to try to replace my blower motor. Daunting project and I'm disabled so I can't do much despite my kind of these cars. He always motivated me to try some of the things I could handle. Nobody around me works on 240z either so I'm stuck with just windows this summer ughhh
Love Involvo'd, love your channel so I'm glad all is good between you guys. Shipping is risky, even if it isn't overseas, as I sadly learned. Still, car nuts need to order stuff to continue to improve their rides as you have certainly done!
You are absolutely right @Timbre. We have lost many things to local postage let alone overseas troubles. Thank you for checking out the channel!
What an unpleasant surprise. I bet that Sledge is as disappointed as yourself :(
If nothing else, the unbroken headlamp lens will make a good kitchen counter/tabletop receptacle for keys, pens and suchlike. I've been using a spare 740 headlamp lens for such purposes for years, which saves it from gathering dust or getting broken in storage before the time it's needed :)
Thats actually a fantastic idea! I think may also use it for a charcuterie board.
@@DeanofMachines Can also be used to serve crisps/chips, nuts or nachos :)
@@shepshepherd Haaa, that's true. I also considered a fish bowl.
It's like a Pyrex dish you could bake with it
@@Involvod LOL I have one lonely lens and willing to test that theory
I see you too are a purveyor of license plates. I'll get you some Idaho and Montaña.
Hells yeah BORTHER
It's a bummer you couldn't get the OEM e-codes installed but there's no harm in keeping an eye out in the meantime to see if we can find you some! I do think it'd be interesting to find out what the differences are between the OEM and aftermarket stuff.
Also, the Skandix e-codes, though they were a PITA to install they definitely make the car look more put together than the 30 year old faded plastic ones. And now I can actually see where I'm going at night.
Eyes will remain peeled. I've always liked the look of the glass lights so its a worthy upgrade to your car.
It was a huge disappointment ☹️ The other ones look so great on Monique's wagon, total facelift!
Still bummed to think about it even though it was 2 months ago. I'm surprised Ms.Monique let it slide that her new headlamps were sitting in the garage for a month!
Ahh, USPS. Naturally.
Or the guys in customs were jealous that I got some legit, cool as heck E Codes and decided to rough em up a bit.
TDI Swap eh? do a CJAA I'll sponsor a ECU for it/.
Hey Jeff! The Jeepster already runs on an ALH with a Land Rover mechanical pump. But should I need an ECU for a CJAA TDI swapped Volvo 245... I'll let you know!!
Hit me up if you’d like a Dutch license plate.. maybe we can rearrange something.
Hey Jeffrey! Shoot me an email at deanofmachines2021@gmail.com
Lets see what we can work out!
