HI Angie you can not knit this border all around the blanket.

You could easily add a border all way round if you did it in stocking stitch all need just need a few extra stitches for each end

INSTRUCTIONS-
Cast on multiples of 4 + 2 extra stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Pattern-
Row 1️⃣: SLIP 1ST, (P2, K2 REPEAT UNTIL 1 STITCH LEFT), KNIT LAST STITCH.
ROW 2️⃣: SLIP 1ST, (K2, P2, REPEAT UNTIL 1 STITCH LEFT), PEARL LAST STITCH
Row 3️⃣: SLIP 1ST, (K2,P2, REPEAT UNTIL 1 STITCH LEFT), K1 LAST STITCH
Row 4️⃣: SLIP 1ST, (P2,K2 REPEAT UNTIL 1 STITCH LEFT), PEARL LAST STITCH.
Repeat rows 1 to 4 until desired length.
