I love seeing new generations enjoying real rock. Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Black Sabath, Led Zepelin and many other bands from the 70s and 80s will never be forgotten. They made the foundations of rock & roll
I couldn't agree more. What I keep saying is that these new acts are don't have much to write about in this world so they reach back in time to find what others have done and realize the best of the best came out during the times you mentioned 70's & 80's. and some do very well at copying others work. "The Iron Cross" is one of those bands....

Watching this again months later, it is evident to me just how good of a musician Andrei has become.
Despite incredible odds, he was actually able to prevent his guitar from catching on fire during the solo! Unbelieveable!

What an epic cover from Iron Cross! (I heard the original song live in 1973)
Andreea sings the high notes as excellent as Ian Gillan did when he was younger 🎵.
Andrei is the right one to play the guitar part of Ritchie Blackmore as stunning as the original. 🎸 Wow, he does the famous Gillan shout! 😃
And it is absolutely funny that Andreea sings "Nobody gonna take my girl 🦊, I'm gonna keep her to the end" 🤣
I'm sure she could have changed "girl" to "man", but, she stayed true to the original, and I, for one, appreciate that. I too heard the original in '73, although not live. Young people, like these in The Iron Cross, will keep rock alive for a long time. Maybe as long as humanity survives?

This video shows us how VERY strong Iron Cross is! The bond just gets tighter! The music is always better. LOVED the bass, drums and OF COURSE the guitar solo! All mixed in with Andreea's AWESOME voice! THIS IS ONE HELL OF A BAND!!

I'm and old guy and loved playing Highway. Such a great song that gets your "gichen" gone if you have a pulse! But problem was I never played with another that was able to play the fast parts. One guy I played with would play hammer on triplets at the fast part where I was doing four notes a beat like you see in the video. It didn't sound that bad, just "blurred". He just couldn't play anything that needed alternate picking.

I've been doing this crap since 1970 brother. I made my living for years playing on stage during the Southwest and California. I have a complete recording studio in my home. Richie Blackmore was a mediocre guitarist at best and deep purple was just your average early '70s stoners band. Anything he could ever do I can do better. Now piss off little boy.

I lived in Germany during the 1980s, when my dad was stationed in Mainz and Bad Kreuznach. My dad, brother, friends, and I saw Deep Purple in concert 1985 open air in Mannheim. My brother and I saw the 1986 Monsters of Rock at the same location. Best wishes from Iowa USA!
