- The ongoing transformation of the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere is the commitment of Lagos State Government to investing in facilities that nurture talent and bring communities together.
The cladding, roof covering, track replacement, upgrading of the VIP Lounge, players dressing lounge, the pitch, and more at Teslim Balogun Stadium are steps towards providing a world-class sporting arena.
In this video, I will be taking you guys on a tour of the stadium to see the ongoing works there. Hopefully after the upgrading is done we shall look at the before and after of the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

You don’t have to be devastated, bro. I love your deep honesty. May God bless your hustle.
Amen…. Thank you!!!!
LASG should increase the capacity and take out the tracks. Make it only football stadium! So many stadiums with tracks already.
The capacity is not being increased and the tracks will be replaced. There are other mini stadiums in Lagos that are for football only, one is the Agege stadium which was home to MFM Football team. The stadium is also under renovation.
I personally believe they should make the former national stadium the football only stadium when/if it gets rehabilitated. Lagos still needs at least one stadium which is able to host athletics as well as football competitions. Wouldn’t it be good if Lagos host the Athletics World Championships?
You just said my mind bro. They should remove the tracks and in other to extend the terraces to accommodate more fans
That's what they do for private stadiums. It is not a private stadium. The structure you're talking about is what they have in European club stadiums. This is government property and unless they privatize the stadium the idea is stupid because as a public project they are definitely going to use it for more than just football.
@@oladimejibabamuyiwa8332did you say more fans. Tell me, how many people in Lagos go to the stadium to watch soccer. Even at the AFCON look at the attendance rate. Aside the match Nigeria played against Ghana at MKO Abiola Stadium when last did you see Nigerians turn up to go watch a soccer match at the stadium. They can't increase the capacity if there is no demand for it. Besides it is an existing structure not a newly developed one. The question is if they increase the capacity will YOU go and watch soccer there?
Lagos needs a new stadium with at least a minimum of 95,000 sitting capacity. Nice renovation work at this stadium.
Yes, but the ones on ground must be used to its maximum capacity first before considering building a new one.
95000?😂😂😂

We needs more road developments too in Lagos . Keep up the good works
Finally this renovation is long overdue
I subscribed because of his effort and honesty . The fact that he wasnt dettered ans still went on with the video . Kudos !!!
Thank you!!!!
You are doing a great job bro.
Lagos deserves a stadium better than this.
Uyo stadium still remains the best in terms of design, facilities, etc.
Thanks so much Gbolahan for bringing this to our view, God bless you brother. Well done bro!
😘😘😘😘 You are doing great GB, keep it up and thanks a million sir
🙏….
very good development
Sporting Lagos FC deserve this stadium... hopefully they move here
I hope so too because this is bigger. But I think sporting Lagos have turned onikan to home….
@@Iamgbolahan yes o but Onikan is tiny, the team is bigger than that 😂
One club is taking this one. I have forgotten their name

@@All_Vide0z thanks 😊
Well done brother ❤
Gbolahan we understand you your making so much effort
Thank you 🙏……
Thank you 🙏……
I appreciate the content and effort bro. What you said about maintenance is THE complete TRUTH.
I wonder why the Nigerian government has failed to put in significant effort into our sports. Just watching the afcon, i remember how cameroon properly hosted the last one. Ivory coast is currently doing a great job! On a good day, we are richer as a country than both cameroon and ivory coast. But, i can't say we can host afcon with at least 8 properly functioning stadia in all of Nigeria and that is just sad!
Keep up the good work bro!
Thank you!!!
Good job bro. Don't be dettered by little challenges.
By the way, did you find out if the Govt made the place a no flying zone due to the construction going on? Sometimes drones don't fly due to some restrictions by the authority. That might be the reason.
Anyway, Good job bro. I'm sure many of us appreciate what you are doing. The sky is your stepping stone bro.
Big up 👍🏾
I wasn’t deterred, it was just a little set back. The whole areas has access to fly, but the drone was the problem. I will definitely fix it.
Thank you for your support 🙏…..
General maintenance and management of infrastructure in Nigeria is extremely poor. This is mainly due to gross corruption across board. Depressing indeed
Exactly the point
I love your channel bro
Thank you!!!
Good job bro.
Thank you 🙏….
well done
Thank you!!!! 🙏
This their stadium is more of a field than a stadium
Keep up the good work!
I hope the roofing sheets are not the normal types that are used in a conventional house building
It’s not….

Good work bro
Well done brother

These is awesome development nice one from Lagos state government. please what about National stadium lagos
Some sections of the National Stadium was done last year. But there’s need for total renovations of the National Stadium in Lagos.

Lagos state should pay you for promo… you’re promoting the government more than appointees 👏👏
Yes some of them get partnership deals..I think soon someone will recommend him for partnership with LASG😊😊😊😊😊...BTW I think all over Nigeria there are creative showcasing each state..God bless thier goodworks
Thank you!!!!
Maybe soon…🙂🙂

The capacity of the stadium is important bro
But what is the point designing rally track on every stadium in Nigeria, there is already rally track on the national stadium and Abuja stadium what is the point putting rally track here again.
Why not make it a covered stadium?
it looks more like the Uyo, staduim, great job Lagos, just need to increase capacity for World cup or Olympic and they have done it
WHY AM I SEEING GRASS
What’s the capacity of the Stadium? Thank you as always..
You are welcome 🙏, the capacity is around 25,000
Is 30000
Is Nigeria preparing for an Afcon bid?
Nah
Probably in the near future.
What’s the capacity?
25,000
Isn't it disgraceful that Lagos of all places is grappling with this type of stadium in 2024.
Why can't they pull this down and erect a world class stadium
Why pull it down when they can remodel it?
They can remodel it. Pulling it down is waste of money and resources. A good architect can remodel it to 21st century standards.
Nice one
What's the need of building a stadium without good pitch? If the pitch is not grade A then the stadium is useless like every other stadium in Nigeria.
Pitch is last ,how can u work on pitch while construction 🚧 workers march all over it with their boots 👢 & facilities?
@@imperialkingdom4821you dey mind them😂
