@@Iamgbolahan honestly I love this🤩 like lot of work gone down here connectlog na vibe
@Justozed thank you bro….
We are already hearing reports of the Green line MoU signing. the work rate is stunning.
Yes….. Green line is next…
🎉 fantastic update Lamgbo. Weldone.
If the Chinese people continue to maintain it, so be it. At least, it is functioning in Lagos state. Let other states copy lagos state and incorporate that into their programme. I'm using this medium to all Western state governors to link with Lagos rail so that those of us from Oodua states can live any parts of Yoruba land and commute easily without any hindrance. May God bless our Eko Aromisa legbe legbe!
Well, I think we should make sure Nigerians are the ones maintaining it over time. (And they follow the procedures strictly).
If we don’t know how to maintain it as well as them. Then I think we should learn from the Chinese. So we don’t have to keep paying for foreign maintenance.
Also, other states in Nigeria should copy them, so we can take more vehicles off the road. To make transportation less congested.
@@Therealclips-ib8bm It is an opportunity for Nigerians to create companies specialised in railways maintenance. We should learn to transform a problem into a business opportunity
@@Therealclips-ib8bmstates should focus on building roads. Most states are way larger than Lagos in size so metro rail isn’t feasible without the rural areas feeling left out.
@@BlueIvory4 You are right - A state of population less than 5 million with large land size has no business embarking on this kind of project, they will not be able to recoup the invested funds. That's why, it is mostly a project embarked on by Federal Govt across the world cos of how capital intensive it is.
By and large, to operate a metro effectively, you need to be able to move people enmass from one point to the other, you need a State with high traffic as Lagos.
Many are saying the train ride should be cheaper. So how can maintenance be done properly to keep it going, if a cheaper fee is being demanded?
It is already one of the cheapest in the world.
500 naira is fair.. maintenance money can be gotten from companies who make adverts on the body of the trains and the train stations.
@@ifyano9731 Does that really make sense to you? You can't eat your cake and have it. That was the same way NEPA was destroyed and Nigerians are still suffering from the effects till date. Service must be paid for if you want development.
@@ifyano9731The price is still low. It is one of the lowest in the world. Reducing the price could result in inability to maintain the infrastructure as spare parts are obtained in USD.
@@ifyano9731 Can't believe this ideology of wanting to get everything free from the government is still a thing. If you're to compare with U.S or anywhere, private companies build and run the rail line, there was one that was lunched almost the same time with the blue line in the U.S it was private owned.
And you can't tell me private companies will run train fares at cheap rate. I think if we have private owned lines we won't be thinking this one is too expensive for commuters by the time we compare prices. There are some free metros, true but most of them are not pioneer rail lines or first of their kind. Before any country operate a train line for free it's either it is about a 100yrs old or they've had lots of lines operating that can fund the maintenance of the free line.
For a rail line that is probably going to fund the construction of other rail lines in the state I do not think it's expensive.
@@ifyano9731 IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY... NOT ANYWHERE.
Not gonna lie, after a year I am impressed it hasn’t fallen into disrepair, knowing Nigeria 😂
If people pay the commensurate price for the train, they will have enough money for maintenance.
@@bababababababa6124 lol the Lagos Ibadan and Abuja Kaduna are still functioning despite the challenges
It's because of the Chinese
I like the guy smiling in front of you, His smile is contagious.
great story telling and video
Thank you 🙏!!!
I like dis
This guy just funny, so they should reduce the price? How do you now pay the salary of those maintaining the train. Abi you plan to employ ghost 😂
If Nigeria take over that train it won’t be the way it is today
Why is everyone complaining about the price lol? It's very cheap already!
who gave Nigerians the mentaliy that train is the cheapest mode of transportation all over the world?
All the people shouting cheaper, that's absolute balderdash, there's nowhere in the world that trains are cheaper than busses. Think of all the luxuries you get from the train, then compare it to busses, and you think it will be cheaper. I think the government has to consider their running cost, and try to at least break even or make a little profit for lamata.
Lagos government has to think of new finacial center which may help
Nigerians want everything for free. Why not tell the government to reduce the price to 1 naira.
THE Machines with drinks also stand there forever without drinks
Hopefully, something will be done about it or better still it should be remove from there since it’s not serving any purpose.
Is there any plan for Ikorodu on the train plan work??
Orange Line
There's Orange line that extends to Ìkòròdú. He mentioned it in this video.
ORANGE LINE: This 48km line is designed to run through Ikeja, Alausa, Magodo, Mile 12, Irawo, Itolowo, MajidunAwori, Majidun Ogolonto, Agric Ikorodu, Alapadi, Maya, Eligana, Isiwu, Ibere, Imota and Agbowa in Ikorodu.
The government has loans to pay! so they should keep the rates the same.
I think the red line should adopt the kind of chairs used in the blue line as it will last longer and be easy to clean. These chairs on this red line cannot transport thousands of people a day and last long.
The actual redline trains will arrive in December then it will be test run for 6 months according to standard practice...so ppl have to manage the available one till the actual one will be fully ready ..
@@chincherri That's geat to hear. What will happen to this one?
@okeakpukelvin4091 it will be handed over to the FG for the NRC rail way corridors for inter state travel..
Who told Nigerians that trains are cheaper than buses? All over the world, buses and cheaper than trains. They want everything for free. They want good service but never want to pay for anything good and these are the calibre of people that go around shouting " we want good governance" but they never wan to oay the orice associated with good governance.
