The dogs are doing great, they spend countless hours sun tanning LOL. The only place that has been too hot (for all of us) is camping along the coast. Through most of Costa Rica we either had campsite to ourselves or the odd time shared with another camper or 2 - very relaxing.
We are not leaving Nicaragua for good and we are keeping our house there...we will be back. We just have the travel bug and are enjoying rooftop tenting. We still absolutely love Nicaragua and San Juan del Sur is an amazing town (we say that after visiting so many other small Central American towns - SJDS is top notch).
I just found your page. I also want to bring my personal vehicle. Did you find you needed any permits? What documents will I need to bring besides my ownership documents? What did you do about auto insurance? I'm in Washington state so I would probably take a similar route as you. Were there any areas you would suggest i go around? I watched a video by a guy that lives in Nicaragua and he suggested to buy a vehicle in the local area.
The only reason we brought our vehicle was to get our dogs to Nicaragua. Having a foreign vehicle in country is not a long term solution, you have to leave every 30 days or you can extend twice for 30 days each but that requires a trip to a government office in Managua to process the paperwork and it takes several days (so driving to Managua twice per month). If it wasn't about moving our dogs we would have flown down with a few extra suitcases and bought a vehicle locally. Once we are not traveling so much we will buy a local vehicle.
Best wishes from Cold Lake😀
Thanks! 😃
You have the campgrounds all to yourself. That’s quite an experience!! Your dogs have climatized well. ❤

We absolutely love Nicaragua...but adventure awaits.
Are you leaving Nicaragua for good? Are you selling your home? If so, why are you leaving Nicaragua?

Well it appears you may have answered my questions in another video so I watching that now.
