    Watching your videos I took courage to fix my washing machine, it was an inflated capacitor, the first time I've repaired something electronic. Thank you!!!

    Nice. I really like small form factor computers they come in handy for so many things. I have a couple I use for tasks I chose not to run on my primary computer system. I have Kodi installed on a couple Pi4's I use to stream my media content I have on my server but I don't use those all that often unless I have visitors and then it takes me a minute or two to remember how to use the software which is always a problem for me. Enjoy the Mini PC.

    Love this form factor for emulation. Running Dolphin, it can act as a Wii. Hook up either an external CD, or an ISO loader off USB, and the entire thing will still be smaller in volume than the actual console. Only trouble is on my model I think bluetooth and wifi share a module and conflict with eachother. If I put a separate USB Bluetooth dongle and augment that functionality, then interference goes away.

    Tiny PCs are pretty neat little things, this one seems to be decent spec too, but, I just can't afford such things hhaving looked at the prices of them... :\

    Great video as usual. But I don't really see the point of this machine. Spending the price of a PS5 to play old games you can play on a Raspberry Pi or newer games with only 5 or 10 fps, it must be disappointing. But you play River Raid, so I you're 100% right :-)

    I do not quite understand the point of the mini PCs, they are so expensive that you can buy a laptop with similar specifications. Are just as bad upgradeable as laptops etc but with the laptop you still have display and keyboard.
    of course there are applications such as office etc but for living room etc only for very special purposes

    • @LeftoverBeefcake
      @LeftoverBeefcake Рік тому +2

      Especially when we have devices like the Orange Pi and similar single board computers, which are getting better and better (and are generally more available than the Raspberry Pi). Some already come with M.2 connectors, and the boards are generally cheaper and smaller. SBC's will run emulators just as well and not even need a fan. I think this is just Intel's way of trying to keep themselves relevant on the desktop in an era when we're moving away from x86 processors over to ARM and RISCV architectures.

    • @tytusromek9267
      @tytusromek9267 Рік тому +1

      @@LeftoverBeefcake On the one hand, there are very small solutions that are more specialized and cheaper, like the Pi. On the other hand, there are small factor PCs with desktop hardware that are twice as big but also offer significantly more power. as I said, I find laptops simply the more elegant solution, with the battery, display,... these are also really portable.

    • @JanBeta

      It depends on what you need, I guess. You can likely get a regular size desktop with more oomph for less but the small form factor is quite a nice feature (at least for my use case).

      @meh3247 Рік тому +4

      @@JanBeta I've just got to the part where you're setting up Win 11, the advertising-not-operating system, and I have to say, that is a big no-no for me old chap.
      As you say, it depends on what you need I guess... I am using a AMD Ryzen5 system with 16GB RAM and an Nvidia GT1030 (2GB, nothing fancy really) graphics card and 14TB HDD space, all for a similar price to what this unit would cost... (I only mention it for comparison.)

    Graphics is why i went for a mini itx solution for a media centre.
    Having a dedicated GPU is more important for me then a small form factor.
    Also bad review, you did not show it running doom😁
    Everyone knows that doom is the real benchmark.
    But it seriously looks like a very capable solution in a very nice formfactor.
