the lugia comparison should be taken with a grain of salt since that bgs 10 sale was during peak hype
The pristine Lugia is 0.5 from being a black label... The 9.5 is 2.5 off of being a black label... Big difference
@@justwatchmegonow Yeah he says it as if it's a .5 difference. It's really not. This is the weakest 9.5 possible. A mid-tier 9.5 would be at least 6k. And a true 9.5+ would be at least 10k.

Exactly. Even during the hype when even PSA 10 sold for 130k, PSA 9s were still going only for around 3.5k. So yes for a card that barely qualifies for BGS 9.5 (being 0.5 off from being a BGS 9) this is still a good price nowadays.

It would be interesting to see comparasons between sales of the same card, but different auction houses. (Ebay, Goldin, PWCC etc)
I would much rather have a cgc pristine 10 vs psa 10. But buy the card not the grade, gotta look at the card

Just checked the PSA 10 full art Lillies. A few copies actually sold for $2500. What a crazy spike in the last few months for that card. People sure love their waifu cards.

Hey Dude! My metal pikachu just came back PSA10. So you think it’s an instant sell or do you think after the dip prices will go back up in several years?
If it were me, I would try to offload it now, as the population of PSA 10s will certainly increase a lot within the next few years. Just can't foresee it reaching anywhere near what it used to be before PSA stopped grading these metal cards.

not necessarily. people are just starting to value modern due to their extreme rarity and gorgeous arts
@@starvvoy Extreme rarity lol check the pops bud, there is no rarity… under 500 9s and under 200 10s, that’s the sort of numbers your average 1st Edition WOTC holo is playing with. Modern alts are up in the thousands. The Umbreon has 8400 graded copies, 6500 of which are 10s.
@@E-A-Z-Y difference is tho more people are fans of the modern compared to the vintage. So honestly the whole pop thing kinda balances out. Like yeah cool a certain vintage card is pop 80 but if only less than 100 people want it then who cares compared to a pop 1500 card that 15k people want is another game
