He was there original singer and now he never sings, original band was called cavil at rest I went to school with them then he sang one full local natives song called only son that got cut from there first album, well actually two but the other was a demo called marching

And you know what? The best part is that they as perfect on live preforming. They went to Lisbon and it was perfect!
I saw them in RVA, it was spectacular. I had never heard of them before that night and went with eight people, all of whom agreed it was the best concert they had ever been to.
Amazing music! What's a plus is that they played for Bernie Sanders at his rally in Los Angeles!!

I feel really sad for the younger generation.
I am over 40, but this song is up there as one of the best songs I have ever heard.
I feel really sad that this generation, because of their weird tastes, are collectively suppressing music like this.
To put this into proper context, the first album I ever fell in love with was NWA's Straight Out Of Compton album.
Most of the music I have truly loved have been R&B ("You know what's Up" by Donnel Jones, etc). And quite a number of rock songs: "No Excuses" by Alice In Chains.
I also love a lot of Cold Play: Clocks, God Put A Smile On My Face, Don't Panic, Atlas, Green Eyes, Square One, etc.
Then come to the new generation, I like some Chris Brown "Transform" "Forever" "She Ain't You" and a lot of songs where he is featured with others (clean versions - I hate hearing swear words in music these days).
Also like Tame Impala, and Alt J's "Taro".
But I must say AGAIN that THIS track is clearly the best song I have heard in a very looong time!!!
And I wish today's kids will listen to music a little more attentively, instead of asking their friends what is popular!
Because that is the only reason I can think of to explain why some of the music of today get up to 1 billion views on UA-cam and yet still sound like complete trash!!!

I understand this view, but think you are assuming that younger generations don't listen to a wide variety of music. If anything we have far more diverse tastes than your generation due to the tools available to us to browse and catalogue music. I could see how you could get that view from just looking at social media though (ironically)

+JbRi08 dude this is amazing. Absolutely amazing. You can hear gorilla manor in this song but you can also hear the new direction they're taking. If this song is any indication of how the rest of sunlit youth is gonna be then sign me the fuck up. Evolution is what keeps music groups going. I'd rather have a drastic sound change than more of the same tbh

I'm aware evolution has to happen in order for their music to move forward, but, there is a certain spark from every song they've released that has always grabbed me. Past Lives drew me in from the first chord, this, however, did not. I've pre-ordered my album and will be in the front row when they come to NC. They will always be my favourite band.
+JbRi08 I like this song wayyyyy better than past lives, to the point where I forgot they released past lives but can't stop listening to this haha. I am gonna try and see them as soon as physically possible they are just a powerhouse of amazing music and I can't wait to see what comes next
+ASassyVulture Past lives sharts all over this song, and it isnt that great either. This is awful. I love this band to the point of offering to fly them in to play my wedding. This song is not them. This is pseudo-80's Electronica crap. I have tried to listen 3 times, and turned it off 3 times. I'm 30, not 18, so I had to suffer through the 80s sound once already, I don't want to hear it again. This isn't band evolution, the devolution. You can't take people that play amazing acoustically, take their instruments away, add synth, and call it music. Watch them sing "Cecilia" live from their courtyard. Amazing. THEN tell me this is music. This is shit and we all know it. And if you don't know it, you are a part of the problem anyway, so save your comments for someone else. Damn Millenial hipsters.
