It's a really beautiful place, I especially like how so many of the buildings have flowers all around them, just makes it look very colourful and pretty. The culture there certainly is interesting and the food looks delicious... Agree also about American food being overly sweet, American cheese is very different to the cheese we have here in NZ as well as so much of the food being highly processed, looking forward to the next video

Lexie's such a good baby and she's so engaged, so blessed with her super family, Really enjoying this trip to Switzerland, I wanted to go when I was younger but always so expensive & not the easiest place to get to, but you are not having any problems getting about and there is SO much to see! Xander is SO lucky to be able to travel like this & see where he comes from - it will sink in one day. Hope you bought a crotal bell home with you!

I think the most sobering thing is that although we think we are so civilized and beyond persecution and martyrdom, history repeats itself, and this will happen again someday. Already we see our freedoms breaking down. Thank you for taking us along with you on your Anniversary trip. I feel as though I’ve been to Switzerland myself! What a wonderful trip. I visit my family church every time I go to Kansas. Alexanderwohl Mennonite in Gossell , KS. It's general conference. I love walking through the graveyard and seeing names of people I remember from my childhood. My maternal great-grandparents are there.

Oohh so glad you passed at my home region the Emmental. Have been often to the cheesefactory in Affoltern. And Schloss Trachselwald its a great place to seek some history of the anabaptits. Have been the with a good friend from Pennyslvenia who is a historican and a mennonite.
Enjoyed going along with you on your tenth anniversary…some really beautiful areas but the dark side made my heart hurt for the treatment people endured because they loved having a Christian life…such a sad part of history for so many…Thanks once again for taking us along…Have a lovely day…God’s Blessings

My wife and I have been to Switzerland twice and in January of 2020 we’re in many of the same historic Anabaptist places .. we attended services at the Mennonite church and really enjoyed meeting the people .. a older couple invited us to their place for lunch , took us to the castle you visited and made arrangements with the owners of the barn hiding place that we could visit it Sunday afternoon .. it’s awesome that you get to do these trips with your children !
Xander reciting the 23rd Psalm in the prison made me cry. That place is my history, too. That was a beautiful cemetery. There is a small version of what the Ababaptists faced in Shipshewana, IN.
I am an Oberholtzer, too, My cousin visited Oberholt several years ago. He loved it. Beautiful town and lovely people. Lucky you to get to Switzerland.
This brought back so many memories from our trip to Switzerland! It was so good to see familiar places like Chapel Bridge in Lucerne and the mention of Bern brought back memories of our wonderful time there. I'm already looking forward to seeing next week's video!

Love following your adventure in Switzerland !!! My wife and I have been to Switzerland twice and in January of 2020 we’re in many of the same historic Anabaptist places .. we attended services at the Mennonite church and really enjoyed meeting the people .. a older couple invited us to their place for lunch , took us to the castle you visited and made arrangements with the owners of the barn hiding place that we could visit it Sunday afternoon .. it’s awesome that you get to do these trips with your children !
