super handy! i wonder if it can be used for overdubbing as well, to use a simple melody transposed within a sequence

Ah, nice. Exactly what I was just wondering and here you have a video. ;-)
Do you know if it possible to detune the oscillators? There are some demo patches that clearly do that but so far I didn't find it in the manual.

I have not seen it in the manual, but I also feel like I probably don't understand half of what this little synth can do.
Lately I've been holding down Shift and randomly hitting buttons and turning knobs just to see what happens...which is initially how I found the transpose feature here and then I saw something about using the keyboard to transpose +/- 12 after upgrading to v1.02. I actually found transpose through the Main Menu last. If I find a way to detune the oscillators I'll be sure to let you know.

Great explanation. Is it possible to transpose with a midi keyboard so it follows the key played on the midi keyboard.

Is there a way we can map S1's shift functions to some midi ctrl with some knobs? Thank you for the tips in this video

I don't think you can map a specific MIDI control change value to = SHIFT by itself.
But you can map some MIDI control change values to a specific S-1 function that would normally be accessed by holding down Shift on the S-1. Like MIDI control value 89 can serve to control the SHIFT+REVERB function, which is reverb time. And 90 can serve to control SHIFT+DELAY which is delay time.

Hi basic question here if I make a pattern on an empty slot how do I save it to that slot

If you make a pattern in an empty slot, you need to "write" it to that slot. So at any point when you've made new stuff in that pattern, hold SHIFT and hit number 16 (write). That will let you write it to that slot. If you change anything, hold shift+16 again to write the new changes in.
