- One of the most controversial bats in cricket history, the Kookaburra Beast was banned in 2005 following unfounded concerns about the bat sticker. The resulting changes sent shockwaves across the world, altering the design and style of cricket equipment. 15 years later, the bat that changed it all has returned.
We look into the legacy and influence that the bat left across the international cricketing community with legend Brad Hodge.
Love the kahuna and the beast. I've used almost every bat by Kookaburra. Each bat tell it's own story. And the best part is that all are hand crafted. Great job Kookaburra. Keep making more stellar bats.
Brad Hodge was born 10 years too early. Had he been playing 2010-2020 hed have had a career befitting his skill. Unlucky fella like Stuart McGill.
kahuna and beast are my favs
nothing beats the bubble
The graphite actually makes a huge difference. Carbon fibre reinforcement has been used in Civil/structural engineering to strengthen existing beams to increase their loading capacity considerably and a little goes a long way.
Present beast front sticker doesn't looks as classy as it was before. Pls change the front sticker as it was used by Mike Hussy
the carbon fibre makes it illegal apparently.
I still owe one
I think they should've bought back the design without the graphite
Only 15 of them? You know the scalpers are going to get their hands on them and sell them for double, even triple
