- How to make Peka (ispod peke) - cooking traditional food step by step. Chef Mirko is showing you how to make this Croatian cuisine.
Peka is a very popular dish on the Balkans (especially in coastal Croatia) where many tourists like to enjoy the delicious combination of home grown vegetabbles and local meat prepared perfectly together in a traditional way using a bell-like dome (ispod čripnje).
i speak what we call in USA “ Cringlish” (broken Croatian/English) and this guy is doing just fine. Not sure if some of you have gotten up on the wrong side of bed with you nasty comments (not only about speaking but food cuts choices, spices etc) but you might look into the mirror . I am not sure you’ll like what you see. I sure do not appreciate your comments. Kudos to Mirko for making a video

Question though - what is the paste in the "Zeni" bottle? What is the spice mix that is used next to it that is yellow in color? I don't recognize either of them from here in the USA but we might have something comparable.
Thank you Budikah, we are glad that you like it! The "Zeni" bottle is actually Mustard and the "yellow bottle" is Vegeta Spice.
“Senf” is mustard in Croatian. I would imagine Dijon or. A variant of it was used in the video.
Milo The Russian Blue. It tastes "tastes really" GOOD !!! DIFFERENT and much better than yellow mustard . senf can be puechased in Croatian delis ( some) European . Vegeta (g pronaunced like the g in good) is available in mast grocery stores in 🍁 (Canada) and I hope the same in USA !?!?!?

Miljama si ti daleko od prave peke. Najprije od same vatre,pa nadalje. Ono što nije dobro kad se pravimo pametni,i počmemo "popravljat"jednostavne stvari,koje jedino i jesu najbolje. Pitaj toga starog ,neka se siti kako mu je mate pekla ispod peke,a tu su ti svi odgovori.
Sve ok samo zasto na maternjem jeziku ne objasnjavas pripremu
mozda ga je sramota ...mozda ima svoje razloge
Koliko ja vidim po komentarima, ovo je tražila strana publika. Vjerojatno na /r/Cooking ili nekom sličnom subredditu. Sastojci su valjda dovoljno prepoznatljivi, a vrijeme kuhanja je 30 min - okretanje - 45 min.

samo bukovina ili ostavi da radi onaj ko zna,povrce prepeceno,preveliki komadi mesa.lose je to
Meso sigurno sirovo i žilavo i krupno. U tom slučaju se povrće stavlja malo kasnije. Ali čovjek se trudio čak i na engleskom ...
bas tako,ja stavim povrce 10-tak minuta pri kraju i uvijek super
Kako si je skuhao tako ce i jesti,inace englezi vole da je sirovo meso.
Nemas ti pojma druze. Prvo vidji kakvo si mesto stavio a posle sve drugo
