  • The program focused on community organizing in faith-based and interfaith spaces. Guest speakers included Miami University professor emerita, Dr. Anne Bailey, who will share her work with the Eradicating Systemic Poverty team at Oxford Presbyterian Church; Vasu Bandhu from the Arizona Faith Network and URI North America Leadership Council; and Adam Overton, a Faith-Rooted Organizer from CLUE (Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice). Hear from organizers across the U.S. who are engaging in congregational and faith-based community organizing as a mechanism for enacting social change in their local communities. We learned how to mobilize your own faith community or collaborate with faith-based organizations to forward your mission of social justice and equity while learning best practices for organizing.
