Would a merino wool superfine alpaca blend be suitable for your pattern, dear Annoo? I wanted to use Debbie Bliss Lara (58% Wool, 42% Alpaca) but don't want to risk having the bag felt in case it rains. Thank you for sharing your lovely designs and wonderful personality!

I really love your patterns but you might want to mention which loop you are going in because it appears that you've used the whole v the back loop and the underneath loop I'm just confused pardon my description I'm not sure what the proper term for the loops are thanks. I have OCD I guess so it drives me crazy.
mmmm I would not say any yarn, if you use pure wool for example your bag might felt in the rain, so try to use similar fibers, some that has some acrylic in it....the size of the bag, feel and look will change...but...the result might be even more beautiful ...so yes to exploring new yarn...but knowing that the result will be different!!! I forgot to mention that while the Debbie Bliss yarn uses superfine alpaca, it is a super chunky yarn that recommends a 12 mm hook! I was more concerned with the wool/ alpaca felting in the rain. Sadly, I bought the Cozy Wool this past winter and it pills terribly.
Mmmmm.....I still have this bag after many month and it stayed pristine...maybe I did not have much rain while wearing it....try a all acrylic yarn then....no danger of felting there!!!!! Let me know what yarn you found!!!!

Superfine would be too Thin , Find a synthetic yarn, which is super bulky to keep the size right!!!
