Welcome to an ambitious adventure that we're calling "Around The World In 80ish Days" which takes us to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Iceland, the British Isles, France, and Bermuda over the course of 81 days of travel and 7 different cruises! This third leg of the trip is a seven-day Western Caribbean sailing from April 15-22, 2023 out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with stops in Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Costa Maya... let's do this thing!! :D

Had taken 11 cruises on Princess pre covid including 3 Atlantic crossing and 1 Pacific crossing. Seeing the cabin brought back wonderful memories.

Good morning. Haven't been on a Princess ship in many years. I remember the food being really good. I usually sail with a casino comp. They do offer some extras. Dee, you have an amazing voice! Thank you for sharing.

I sailed Caribbean Princess on Thanksgiving. Also on Baja deck. I remember the shower was tiny even for me and I am only 5’1” lol. The MDR food was great but the buffet not so much ha ha.
The JourneyView activities timeline changed a little while back and I knew you'd be excited for it. Explorer's Lounge is my favorite venue onboard Princess ships - I can sit in there all night.
yeah....first night of the Princess cruises I've ordered the "southern" and the "cajun" fried chicken....bless them, they should just stop frying chicken. It's just not right to this southern gal. I hate that I know what's coming after day 4, but glad to see you enjoying the ship currently.
Ah the Caribbean Princess. I sailed her in 2008. I am sure she is very different compared to 15 years ago.
Same here. We sailed her in 2005 out of Port Everglades to Eastern Caribbean.
@Jackie Byers yeah I sailed her out of Brooklyn. A few months later she went into dry dock for all her updates. I know the casino used to be on deck 6 and now it's on deck 7.

First time I learned about the Greek salad not including lettuce, was actually on our second cruise (one and only time we've been across the pond), way back in 2001ish? On a Greek cruise/land combo holiday (Royal Olympic Line I think it was??). It was so much better without the lettuce, and with super fresh veggies, and kalamatas.....yum yum yum... Loved the relaxed Greek culture (and tasty food and wine).

p.s. thanks so much to you guys (and 30 and A Wakeup) for putting it on my radar that Princess is very good to casino players. I kept my eye open for offers and now have quite a few comped cruises over the next 22 months :)

Have never been on Princess but I have been looking at a couple of their cruises lately so interested to see what the vibe is onboard.
This was the first cruise ship i ever went on :) and i got engaged on this ship n 2012!!!!
Glad things seem to be better on this ship. We went last may and had a really bad time. Couldn’t get anyone to deliver drinks or they said it was delivered when it wasn’t. Finally went up to the bar and they said oh we are out of it. Crew was overloaded and rude to guests at times. Dinner took forever and the lines were terribly long for everything. We missed our excursions on Princess cays cause they told us to go talk to the excursions desk to try and get on the first water shuttle even though they told us the day before that we would have priority boarding.The app was awful to use if it even worked. This sounds like first world problems but it was not the standard that I’ve been used to with princess.

Heyo! Just make sure your card is tapped into the machine if you’re playing slots, and accumulate points. That’s all we had to do!! :D
We have not tried Princess yet. I heard that you can use air tag accessories - watch bands for the medallions..

Been on carnival, 5 or 6 times... next cruise is Feb 2025 on holland... after that gonna try to do 1a year and try a different cruise line each time. Just to see all these cool things from your videos

So excited to see you are going to Costa Maya. I’ve never been there but I really want to go. I know Carnival’s Costa Maya port is AMAZING - so much to do especially the aviary. Do you have a preference as to which Costa Maya port you go to eg Carnival or other cruise company?

As far as we know, this is the only dock currently used in Costa Maya, shared by all cruise lines. So you should be at the same dock!! :D

It’s a “comp” casino offer where we just paid port fees and taxes. Love their casino program!! :D

Good Morning Jay... Haven't been on a cruise in a few years now. The carnival app had a txt feature to talk to your friends onboard the same ship. Do the still have that?
They do! I believe it’s $5 per device that wants to participate in conversations, purchased in the app after you’re onboard.
I would love if you went over if something you are doing cost extra or is included such as dining
We do typically mention if we’re dining at an upcharge restaurant. We didn’t do any specialty dining this time on Princess!! :D

Is there any charge when your order food to a random place with your medallion?
Some items have a charge, but there’s no charge for using the delivery service. And there are plenty of included items, which is great.
I thought they send medallions to you before cruise day?
They used to, but I believe they only mail them to you now if you opt into the Princess Premier package. With us traveling as much as we do, it’s easier for us to pick up at the port.

Violin was came across very annoying when first on ship .. not the sounds I would be looking forward to when first stepping onto ship. 😊
I'm about to go on the Caribbean Princess for 12 days and I can already tell that violin is gonna give me a massive headache.
