I recommend neutrogena hydro boost water gel as a moisturizer. It is better to use gel based moisturizers when having oily skin NOT cream based. This is a little pricey, about sixteen at walmart, however to hydrate your face you only need a little bit.

YOU, Young Lady, HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER WITH ONE SIMPLE TRICK!!!!! I've battled super oily skin on my entire forehead, including my eyebrow area, and the T-zone for 20+ years. I've tried everything for oily skin- primer, foundation, powder, blotting papers, .ALL OF IT. As I apply my makeup, my forehead would be an oil-slick before I was even finished w/the rest of my face. I've been taking great care of my skin for the last 10 years & I know it's so important to use a gentle cleanser, moisturize morning + night & I use both argan & coconut oil at bedtime. But YOU gave me the only tip that has EVER WORKED!!! That tip was to use a setting spray AFTER you put your primer on to really create a barrier that the oil can't get through & IT WORKS!!! My nose tends to get really oily throughout the day. I've been using the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12 Hour Primer and it is amazing! I usually just have to blot once, other than that it keeps me matte and gives me a nice complexion. I highly recommend it ! Moisturiser is key for oily skin,I was scared to use moisturiser on my very oily skin but after I find the right products my skin is never looked better,also I use natural oils and they helped me so much.You look stunning as always Nikkia ,great tips thank you !!!
I just want to say THANK YOU from one oily skin girl to another! I wish I had found you sooner. I have always been an oily skin girl (and I'm 39) and my makeup always disappears by noon. You (and your videos) have been the best help to me and my makeup routine. The only issue I had was figuring out the powder before the foundation (that was a different video) but I finally figured out I was doing it wrong. I did want to share a love of mine. I've always had super short lashes and can't get them to grow or if they do, they fall out super quickly. I found Kiko cosmetics, 30 days extension, night treatment booster. It seriously looks like I have extensions on. The day mascara is crap but the night stuff is amazing. I have super sensitive skin and eyes and it doesn't bother me at all. But again, I just wanted to say thanks and I always look forward to your videos! I wish you did them more!!

Nikkia I was like you in my younger days, I was anti moisturizer and felt it did nothing but make my skin oiler. I found an amazing routine and it's Olay products! I wash with Olay Total Effects 7 In One Nourishing Cream Cleanser and moisturize with Olay Regenerist micro sculpting cream. I can't begin to explain it, it's like the product dries the oil up but leaves you moisturized at the same time. I follow up with Boots No7 beautifully matte makeup base with a damp sponge and then IT Cosmetics BywBye Under Eye dark circle concealer (a SMALL amount goes a long way, the sample tube has lasted over a month! ) and then the new formula of Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation and Boots No7 Perfect Light translucent loose powder. I used to get so oily that you could have done your makeup with the reflection off my skin within hours of doing my makeup, now I can go 8-10 hours without having to blot. Would love to see you review these and get your opinion on my holy grail products!

Thanks to this video I am trying Estee Lauder Double Wear again! It did not go so well the first few times I've tried it and it's so expensive I'm very much willing to make it work. I'm going to try! I just have very large pores and it seems to emphasize them big time! I'm going to try a primer and everything else you've mentioned in other videos.
She is not lying! I know she says use moisturizer a lot and stresses it but its true! It doesn't matter how oily you are you need moisturizer! I found that a gel consistency moisturizer works best for me since I need moisture but nothing too heavy or greasy! My go to is the Aqua Bomb by Belif during the day and a bit of a heavier cream at night to replenish my skin!
Double wear was the first foundation I ever bought. Not only did it cover well but it really helped my acne too. Been wearing it for five years now. ✊❤️

Soooo glad i watched this video! i tried a few of these tricks and today i applied my make-up at 9am and when i got home at 5.30pm i still had make-up on my nose and didn't look shiny at all! I still felt fresh and could have gone out again without touching up!! I definitely agree with you. I have only skin too and hate it. I always get complemented also on how young I look. The oil definitely fights away the wrinkles which is the only upside to it!!
I started using natural oils to moisturize with and it really really works. I was skeptical to apply oil onto my EXTREMELY OILY skin but DAMN it works. I guess by initially hydrating with oils your skin won't have to produce as much throughout the day? Idk, but if you've tried dozens hydrating moisturizers and haven't gotten anywhere I highly suggest trying like rosehip oil or something similar.

Love your tutorial, I am now a subscriber 😊 I to suffer from really oily skin tried so many foundations and finally one day went and got the Estée Lauder after so many rave reviews and have never looked back, best foundation by far it never fails me after seeing this video I think I am going to look in to the Laura Mercier powder now, I have been using pressed powder as a setting powder and feel it can get a bit to much so I hope I can fall in love with the Laura Mercier like I have the Estée Lauder 😀

Yass! I finally found someone who deals with actual oily skin. Everyone else I found is either dry or in between. I am just downright oily! I've been searching for a concealer.. I have the Naked Skin concealer and it's okay but I'm still not sure. I think I will try the Mac :)

loving these videos! what products can you recommend (obvs for oily skin) to wash your face with in the morning? I've been using salicylic acid, witch hazel, tea tree based products which have stripped all the oil from my face (which I thought was a good thing until you have shown me the way). I use coconut oil through the night and always feel greasy in the morning but don't know what type of product I should be washing with. pleaseeeee heelpppp
For drugstore setting powders, I really love Loreal Pro-Matte and Maybelline Fit Me (the one labeled for oily skin). I found the Loreal powder to be a little better for oil control and coverage, but the color range is too limiting for my fair skin. But the Maybelline Fit Me powder has several fair shades and even a translucent one, which is rare for drugstore, and I love it! I keep one at home and in my purse for touch-ups. I like having a cheap go-to powder that I can wear with any foundation. Thanks for saying oily skin is a blessing, haha--makes me feel a little better! :) Love you Nikkia

Hi lovely!!! I have the oiliest of oily skin! Most of my oily skin fails are dry skin friendly 😂 off the top of my head dry skin fave foundations are nars sheer glow, Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin, Mac studio fix fluid, just to name a few! I would apply foundation then contour and set down if need be ♥️ I am a paramedic but I do UA-cam and run my brand full time now ♥️♥️♥️

I've recently learned that jojoba oil in place of regular moisturizer is great for controlling oil, but it needs to be organic and Hexane-free, as Hexane is very damaging to the body and skin because it's used in things such as glue and roofing materials. Also, milk of magnesia dabbed on (and then the chalky powder brushed off) works miracles. I learned that from Wayne Goss and this other British woman whose name I can't remember (she's blonde with bangs).

The L'Oreal Infallible Foundation is my favourite foundation ever! Love it more than my high end ones! I really hope they will never ever discontinue it... The downside of drugstore poducts is that they often disappear when new products come out...

Yes girl... Oily skin is a gift.... I certainly don't look my age and every time I get frustrated with my oil slick skin I remind myself of that. It's still a battle to find my holy grail products, thanks for the tips x
I definitely agree with you. I have only skin too and hate it. I always get complemented also on how young I look. The oil definitely fights away the wrinkles which is the only upside to it!!
I started using natural oils to moisturize with and it really really works. I was skeptical to apply oil onto my EXTREMELY OILY skin but DAMN it works. I guess by initially hydrating with oils your skin won't have to produce as much throughout the day? Idk, but if you've tried dozens hydrating moisturizers and haven't gotten anywhere I highly suggest trying like rosehip oil or something similar.

I to suffer from really oily skin tried so many foundations and finally one day went and got the Estée Lauder after so many rave reviews and have never looked back, best foundation by far it never fails me after seeing this video I think I am going to look in to the Laura Mercier powder now, I have been using pressed powder as a setting powder and feel it can get a bit to much so I hope I can fall in love with the Laura Mercier like I have the Estée Lauder 😀

Yass! I finally found someone who deals with actual oily skin. Everyone else I found is either dry or in between. I am just downright oily! I've been searching for a concealer.. I have the Naked Skin concealer and it's okay but I'm still not sure. I think I will try the Mac :)

I've been using it with a beauty blender but I can't find a cleanser that will fully clean the makeup off the beauty blender. What do you use to clean yours? what products can you recommend (obvs for oily skin) to wash your face with in the morning? I've been using salicylic acid, witch hazel, tea tree based products which have stripped all the oil from my face (which I thought was a good thing until you have shown me the way). I use coconut oil through the night and always feel greasy in the morning but don't know what type of product I should be washing with. pleaseeeee heelpppp
For drugstore setting powders, I really love Loreal Pro-Matte and Maybelline Fit Me (the one labeled for oily skin). I found the Loreal powder to be a little better for oil control and coverage, but the color range is too limiting for my fair skin. But the Maybelline Fit Me powder has several fair shades and even a translucent one, which is rare for drugstore, and I love it! I keep one at home and in my purse for touch-ups. I like having a cheap go-to powder that I can wear with any foundation. Thanks for saying oily skin is a blessing, haha--makes me feel a little better! :) Love you Nikkia

Hi lovely!!! I have the oiliest of oily skin! Most of my oily skin fails are dry skin friendly 😂 off the top of my head dry skin fave foundations are nars sheer glow, Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin, Mac studio fix fluid, just to name a few! I would apply foundation then contour and set down if need be ♥️ I am a paramedic but I do UA-cam and run my brand full time now ♥️♥️♥️

For me, the best primer for my super oily face is mufe one and dior pore minimizer, mufe waterproof concealer is also great for oily skin!

I've recently learned that jojoba oil in place of regular moisturizer is great for controlling oil, but it needs to be organic and Hexane-free, as Hexane is very damaging to the body and skin because it's used in things such as glue and roofing materials. Also, milk of magnesia dabbed on (and then the chalky powder brushed off) works miracles. I learned that from Wayne Goss and this other British woman whose name I can't remember (she's blonde with bangs).
You NEED to try the ELF blemish control primer! It helps keeps the face matte and stops breakouts!

Have you tried Maybelline's Master Conceal concealer? I love it and think it's better than the prolongwear concealer.
The L'Oreal Infallible Foundation is my favourite foundation ever! Love it more than my high end ones! I really hope they will never ever discontinue it... The downside of drugstore poducts is that they often disappear when new products come out...
