Thanks Jimmy. Love how you explain the feel of the bike. I feel these things but I don’t know how to explain them the way you do. 👍

How would you say power wise it stands up in faster harescrambles? I currently have a 2019 ktm 300 xc. Thanks!

What can you say - a 2 Stroke with a Carb that holds it's own that's what I call an Enduro champ. I've had my Beta 300 since 2016 and I'm still in love. I started with a Suzuki PE 250 back in the 70's, Bob Hanna had one too and he gave me some parts when I told him what jets I used as a local, at the Mile High at Cloudcroft. The Beta power band is so wide and I am so old that changing jets is not a factor. I guess I will time out with the Beta -- what a great bike. I do worry that the oil injection will get stuck, but it keeps working.

Heavy and planted nature are weird to a 125cc two-stroke rider... But my DRZ400 was that description..
Riding old bikes and can't afford the new ones. 🤙

Holy craps, I have such ptsd from headshake incidents that I could never let go @91mph. The beta must be pretty stable :)

For east coast mountain single track the Beta 300 is hard to beat, our speeds are slower here than your conditions, more trials like here and second and third gear slaloms through the forest. The Sachs suspension excels in tight twisty mountain single track. Drop the float level, install an NECJ needle and easy registration at the DMV. Add some bark busters, proper skid plate and radiator guards. Two stroke dual sport. I don't even notice the vibration. Running 13/50 gearing. The stock tires are pretty bad. Running Bridgestone M59 up front and a Mitas 754 green stripe on back. 3rd Beta I have owned. Oh and its very quiet.

Do you ride much in the road? How is it?
These are easy to plate in my state and I’d love the idea of a 2t being road legal. Maybe even get some supermoto tires to mess around on.

How many km can you go with a full tank? I usualy have this issue while riding with 4 stroke or TPI, I am first out of gas in the group at ~60km 😅

In the desert we were averaging about 25 miles per gallon...

Great review. Thanks. Did you keep the stock sprockets on so far or have you changed the gearing at all?

I have a 23 300rr 1 ride on it so far. Im coming from a 450fx this bike is definitely not as fast but has plenty of power. And way more nimble for what i want to do. I havent adjusted power vavle yet or spring i also have 23 200rr i heard that helps for that one. But im glad with this 300rr its so fun and i like the cockpit basically makes me stand up. Thanks for the video good review and sweet bike

The softest PV spring, with no inner spring and the adjuster all the way out makes the most, smoothest power.

Wondering if that stable but light feeling is from the crazy slow rebound valving in the shock. Everyone I push on the rear comes up super slow. Not sure if the New KYB shock behaves the same...? I need to put some time on one of these! looks fun

What sag did you end up?

    • @DirtBikeTest
      @DirtBikeTest  6 місяців тому

Usually the rebound being slow makes the bike pack and feel heavy. We have ours opened up to where it acts normally in speed, but it is easy to slow it down too far.

@@DirtBikeTest You said 10 out, Stock is 15 on most of the Betas I get in..?? Either way all the ones that come through I just laugh at how slow they are stock. I do Suspension work for the local shop etc..

Sad that its 252lbs wet, the bike
I have now is barely 240, I was hoping
this Beta RR300 would be a lot less
    than 250.

Try and not let a scale number dash you hope! Ride one, it feels 235 says our butt dyno/scale/vibration dectector.

I was seriously thinking of getting this as my next bike (currently on a 450fx) but once he said "carburated" I lost interest. 😢

@@justmee9441why? It’s proven and it works. The fuel injection on 2t’s is still fairly new and not perfected yet.

Suspension setting is it from full close? Or full open?
