In this clip, Cyhi the Prynce started off by explaining that he was never signed to Kanye's GOOD Music label, and he added that most people suspected that he was because he has worked with Kanye and associated acts for a long time. Cyhi then spoke about his process for working with Kanye on songs, and he added that he never wants to create a misconception that he writes songs for Kanye. He explained that he will take mental notes of what Kanye is saying in the studio, along with the beats that he's playing, and they'll come up with a final product along the way. After calling Kanye the Michael Jackson of this generation, Cyhi also detailed working with Travis Scott, including on "Sicko Mode," which he says was similar to working with Kanye. Look up the writing credits for all those great artists and you'll see they didn't write the overwhelming majority of their music (and that's not taken away anything from their talent) from James Brown, Whitney Houston, Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding etc. Is Whitney Houston's rendition to I will always love you a false representation because that song was written by Dolly Parton? No. All of these artists have entire teams behind them or just flat out bought the rights to pre wrote songs. Nobody looks at the Beatles different when they had 4 guys writing songs together, that's no different from Travis workin with Cyhi and Mike Dean.

Cyhi is the truth. I've known from way back on projects like Royal Flush Black Hystori Project.
