I remember when HSG was Mean Gene’s little shop outside the Hubert Gate at Lejeune. He used to build chest rigs and pack mods, ghillie suits (sew on the front canvas), and various pouches on demand. We came up with the ideas & Gene created it. Marine Recon & Snipers. He sold HSG(I) years ago but it started with us. BTW something that may work better is the old drop knife sling for parachute ops. It drips the knife below the harness but it would also work for a radio. Drawback: it needs a belt. S/F
Man I just want to say thank you for all the work you do, I started emt school tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited, also you should do a video on boots sometime
I have a basic leather radio strap (fd) and I got it for roughly 70$ so this price isn’t bad i definitely wouldn’t probably use this but it’s cool to see more options on the market.
Hey Sam, I'm currently using a custom index holster for my radio. I wear this holster on my belt. It works really well but when I sit in the truck I have to tuck it closer to the 2 o'clock position so the seat doesn't turn the volume knob. This can be uncomfortable and I still have to double check that my radio is at an appropriate volume. That is my only complaint with the belt mounted holster. What kind of holster due you use? I think a sling mounted holster would be a better fit but Im wonder what you've liked over the years. Thanks
I researched H6 and Sgt.Firebags won out as it's got 2 velcro patch areas for name (and a morale patch) and a little pouch on the strap in front for ear plugs, $$ whatever. I'll never go back to a leather. H6 is also more expensive.

Radio strap goes under turnout gear. Hence the design. 👍🤙

Pretty cool. Know the heat rating for this? Didn't see anything on the website.
If it’s worn under your gear like it’s supposed to be worn it’s just fine
So you don't know the heat rating. Thanks. @@Pimpdown24
I have a custom leather one. I’ll stick to that.
Can this be easily deconed if body fluids get on it?
It’s washable
I mean that's cool for what it is but for the price ill just stick with my custom leather one
Aka the suicide strap 😂.

Honestly I think the H6 has it covered this has way to much going on and does not look the most professional
