CC always cuts out some of the best stuff! I would have loved to watch this scene in Anasazi. It's only season 2, and already losing Mulder has such a deep emotional impact on Scully. It's a sure sign that she loves him in some way, and it's little things like that that make her relationship with Mulder so special. I also love how Melissa is so aware of it. She rocked, and I was so sad that she was killed off.
She is kinda obvious when it comes to Mulder. Her love is like a deep white aura surrounding her. and just glows to pure white whenever she is surrounded by him, making her glow and more beautiful.
R.I.P Melissa :-( But I'm glad this scene was taken out. I appreciate that they made scully have a sense Mulder was okay independent from everyone else. She just knew.
This is def from the Blessing Way, not Anasazi. I'm kind of glad it was cut. It's always nice to see Scully's family, but it would slow the pace of the episode. And Scully needed to believe it in herself that Mulder was still alive, not be told by her sister.
X-files was such a ridiculously good series. I love the earlier ones better but all in all it was so complex and angled to perfection. I feel like their was a deeper plot even borderlining actual truth then what they revealed in the newer episodes. All the same it's something i've re watched about 4 ish times before the new episodes.
Thank you for posting XManuel; Maggie Scully's reaction to Melissa's new age clairvoyance is the same as her reaction in the hospital in "One Breath", except this time she tries to cut Melissa off by saying "Melissa, please" before walking away to make some coffee.
I've seen this scene so many times before. I'm glad it got deleted actually. It seems kind of... out of place for this episode if that makes any sense. I adore Melissa. Too bad she was killed. I really do like the fact that Scully stopped worrying so much about what everyone thought of her as the series progressed. She was so worried all the time about her career and facts instead of believing in what she was seeing with her own two eyes.
I totally understand why this scene was cut.... but it's still really interesting, and I love seeing more of Scully's interactions with her sister. Thanks for uploading :)
I think your father would also be proud though Scully for standing up to these government men. Sure he'd be upset but I also think he'd be proud in a way.
@AussieLek It's because Scully's not ready to hear Melissa's feelings, yet Melissa ignores that fact. Melissa insists that Scully believe something is true against all odds just because she has a feeling..admittedly, a little strange (and in this case, also hurtful because Scully is trying her best to deal with the situation [Mulder's apparent death] with as little disruption as possible). Who cares what Melissa believes? At this point in time, Scully needs to be able to handle this her own way.
This is The Blessing Way The one from Anasazi features The Thinker getting nabbed by some government guys after buying a bag of Ranch flavored Doritos.
@Jennafu832 I just thought of something. Both Melissa and Mulder are similar in the way that they are very open-minded and will believe just about anything. While *both* characters can become so blinded by their feelings that they can lose all perspective in how to live in the real world, they do it in different ways. Mulder becomes withdrawn, while Melissa forces her ideas on others. She is annoying at times because she is so insistent. Scully tolerates Mulder, but has a hard time with Melissa.
I love this scene! And I believe Kurissyma is right, it's from The Blessing Way. Nonetheless, it's awesome! And I don't think I could have handled fighting with a sister like Melissa lol! How did the two of them come from the same family =P?
@Jennafu832 I came about this (the video I'm responding to) in a roundabout way and was reading most of the comments and I wanted to respond to yours, specifically. You're NOT the only one who thought that Melissa was annoying in the scene - except that I just chalked it up to the writers (or whomever) for making her so melodramatic (=annoying).....and the writers should have known (or done more research) that, typically, Sensitives like Melissa would very much respect someone in Scully's mood
I feel like the only one who thinks that Melissa is incredibly annoying in this scene. While I like that Melissa is an open-minded person to counteract Scully, I hate how she disregards Scully's feelings in this scene. I don't know...she just seems a little over-the-top in this scene. It's annoying because she's so insistent. It would be different if Scully was open-minded, too. But the last thing she wants to hear is (what she considers to be) false hope. Melissa should respect that.

melissa KNEW they were soulmates. she could feel it
You mean twin flame..
She knew it before Mulder and Scully even realize it. Wow

R.I.P Melissa :-(

Loved the scene. The interaction between Melissa and Scully is amazing! Great video! =)

So proud of her for behaving just like Mulder lolz 😂👍❤❤❤

Best series ever.

Wow this is so strange without music.
Thanks! :D
Actually this is from The Blessing Way
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's from The Blessing Way too. But there's some deleted scenes for Anasazi too as well

This deleted scene is actually from The Blessing Way.

So sad that this was the last conversation these two had before Melissa was shot. But if this scene was deleted, maybe it's not in canon.
