6th march, 2023 is a special day for me with this video honestly...
We as family was in Perth, Australia and Lydian performed a segment as a guest performer in a concert held on March 5th 2023...
...and the very next day Lydian was simply playing Piano in Hotel Lobby just before the lunch time ( with other musicians and event organisers ).... Meantime i requested him to play any song from a Tamil movie "Needhaney En Pon Vasandham"... and suddenly asked daughter Amirthavarshini to sing ...and they played almoIlaist 5 songs from the movie and i was surprised to witness the beautiful music that came out from children...and the real surprise is they both performing this for the first time remembering the chords, interludes, and even lyrics which they heard few years ago in car journey...
I am posting this only because you all can listen and enjoy this video, which i felt so musical honestly...
And all the Credits goes to the original composer Maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja sir 🙏❤️🎼😊

That torch carried by Raja has been passed. It's in good hands now. Young gen is already starting to study and analyse him. Raja would be revered as great as any Goth/Romantic composers in the coming days; and people like Lydian, Amrithavarshini would ensure that happens.
Varshini's voice is going to be the next sensation in the Tamil industry.
😃😃😃😃😃.......I am sorry to say a few words here but that is the fact. Yes it's true that Varshini is brilliant singer and I enjoy her singing. Here is the thing, how could she possibly be next sensation in Tamil movie industry when almost the entire industry is monopolised by singers from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. Tell me how many "original Tamilian" singers are in the "Tamil" movie industry. I just keep wondering each time I hear a song sung by none other than singers from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, karnataka and Telangana. Rarely I see a full fledged Tamiilian singer in the scene. There are few Tamil singers which seems like the Tamilians are hitchhiking a ride in Tamil music industry. What is that the music directors see in singers from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, karnataka and Telangana that they can't see in Tamil singers. How much has Illayaraja done to rope in Tamil singers in composing thousands of Tamil songs????

Dear Lydian & Amirthavarshini, Hats off! Truly! You have decoded an entire album of an orchestral marvel of Raja Sir's, keeping intact its melodic, harmonic and rhythmic values. To transcribe an entire orchestral work for a piano, on the fly & for the singer to join in so effortlessly and beautifully, at times even covering him in the interludes while he unpacks the many underlying layers - is nothing short of musical genius!
