Hello. Thanks for this lesson! It helps us understand native English speakers. In my opinion, it can be included other characters like Wonder woman (american character) , Hercule Poirot ( English detective), Samson ( strong man), etc. Thanks. 😊❤️
Good lesson Adam, me and my sister want you to make another video about this topic because we have seen many expressions in these types of context, and some of them are very difficult to understand. once again thank you!!
I like your video you going to talk about the topic right away with a simple whiteboard. All UA-camrs use fancy animation or even 1 minute to talk about the subscription! Simple fast precise 🙏
I was thinking about which cinematographic, literary or cultural character in general could represent you and I thought that Chiron is for you, since he instructed his students wisely in the arts and sciences. The test was super!
Interesting: what you describe for Sherlock, we use it with Watson (as in "good job, Watson") - to say that someone has solved a mystery that wasn't really any difficult to solve, might have actually been very obvious.
Hi!! New subscritor here :) I'm from Perú, I was really surprised when listened that is /MACGAYVER/ and not /MACGUIVER/. :) Thanks for the leason! You are amazing teacher!!! :)
Thank you so much for sharing us those important videos! I didn't know those fictional characters are used on everyday conversations. Greetings from Colombia! ;)
Thank you for your teaching us eng, if we got a writing question about talking in future plan and ambitions what would be the writing type would be a paragraph or an essay way?
An extremely important topic - and well presented, too (no surprise here). I'd say Rocky, Rambo, and of course The Terminator belong on this list, as each is fictional and used in everyday speech to indicate an image related to a combination of specific traits. From the literature, I think Pinocchio, Robinson Crusoe, Count of Monte Cristo, and Romeo would ring a bell with most people, even those who have never actually read Collodi, Defoe, Dumas, and Shakespeare.
Hi Adam, I really love the Debbie Downer character, and I've met a few of them in my life... I know about it from the SNL show, but perhaps it has older roots in popular culture? Thanks, Sarah
Great video, Adam. I have one more, from the new Spider-man movie trailer: Scooby doo this thing (said by Dr. Strange to Peter Parker and his friends MJ and Ned.)
Let me tell you about MacGyver in Germany. We say in German somebody owns MacGyver tape or somebody has MacGyver tape at home when this person literally can fix everything and is good at making something out of nothing, as you said.

I’d like you to talk about a Brazilian fictional character called the Curupira. So interesting! Try to learn about him.
Could we use these vocabs in formal writings? or these are only for informal speaking?

It was very funny you breathing like Dath vader. thanks by your class.
To be honest, this was the first time I heard someone say the word 'mediocre' - it was usually in writing that I have been encountering it.

And then there is Karen i guess she s a new character , i ve heard a lot of her lately. Thank you for your lesson teacher Adam
Actually Karen is not a character. It's a meme.
Me watching this video waiting to see Adam a green creature 👀
I'm kinda surprised by two things:
1⁰ That I could understand clearly in English
2⁰ That I don't know a lot of the fictional characters
Captain ACAB is the character we should have.
I didn't know that the word Tarazan was being used in a negative way.
at the end of the day, Darth Vader rather represents the conflict between good and evil within one man
❤❤❤❤❤✈
👏👏👏❤❤❤🙏
😘😘😘
This lesson is full of cliche' 😱😱😱😱😱 Go to see the new Barbie movie in cinemas... is not superficial.
If any one on this group comment abroad then plz tell me. Because I want to talk with English because I understandmostly but can't speak

I'm Charlie Brown.
