"Use the Force, Luke!" is my favourite. As a physicist, I like using the phrase every time somebody has to apply mechanical force, either to lift heavy objects or to open a jar with pickles (like I did yesterday).
I can't give the video two (or three) like-s. But, I've really loved it! You see, the cultural aspects of the English language are very rarely explained by any UA-cam teacher. At least concerning my own tastes and interests, you've really hit 🎯 the bullseye, dear Adam. Thanks 👍 a lot for the lesson.
A great collection, Adam. However, though not a native speaker (English is my third), I'd argue that none of your quotes is as well-known as these: - Here's looking at you, Kid. - Nobody's perfect. I have no doubt you know whence they come.
Thanks, Adam! I would recommend you add the movie scenes to make the video more attractive. In a different opportunity, but thanks, I learned a lot ❤️."
Hi Adam. First, thanks for your awesome videos. It's so simple and quite understandible. Could you explain the difference between "quiz" and "test"? Thank you in advance.
hey Adam!! thank you for these videos. im from turkiye and im not only in my university exam year, but also in english language department. my eng is not that good or not that bad. my teachers are not effective for me. i was looking for good eng teachers on youtube and i found you! i love your videos, i just wanted to say thank you. can you explain the difference between such___that and so___that?
Teacher I you forgot to mention one of the most famous Star war line which is May the force be with you you can use this one to encourage your mates and friends to give that extra little push that they need to fulfill something that they don't feel capable of or to wish them the all luck of the universe
In formal language, can something refer to an ability or an abstract living being that is not a human or an animal? Both in the sense that this abstract being does not exist in real life and in the sense that it exists in the film?
Adam, I know that weapons are not your proficiency, but I can't help but correct your explanation about napalm. Napalm is not a gas, rather it is a thick sticky liquid. Napalm burns for a long time, at high temperature and in process produces a lot of smoke. Basically if you got unlucky enough to be covered in burning napalm, chances are high that you will not be able to extinguish yourself and will die from burns. That's what makes napalm so terrifying
Thanks for watching, everyone! Next, watch my video about English expressions that come from TV shows: ua-cam.com/video/VgyOXlKYEX4/v-deo.html
