Why are you powering the camera from the DC out on the handle. How come you aren't powering it from the DC out directly on the camera plate of the gimbal. There is a DC out at the base of the plate, you wouldn't need your extension and the cable wouldn't be hanging out like that.
@@Team.Louish Apparently there are two different V output versions of the Moza Air 2. One is 12 and the other is 16.8v. But my first comment applies for both versions.
@@kimkrohnberle As far as I know, the DC out on the handle where you have it plugged in is for powering the gimbal externally. Not for powering your camera. The DC is an INPUT on the handle. There are two DC outputs on the baseplate. 7.4v on the back (towards your screen) and the DC out on the front of the baseplate (towards your lens) is either 12v or 16v depending on which version you have. I don't even know what would happen if you plug the Blackmagic into the handle, since they are both inputs.

Thanks for this Review! Did you tried the Moza Air 2 with the BMPCC 4K (with cage) and the Sigma 18-35? Or can you recommend one gimbal that is strong enough for the BMPCC 4K, Cage, Sigma 18-35, Ex Battery & Monitor?
That setup works just fine. You won't need an offset plate. The monitor will be useless as there is a mind boggling lack of internal HDMI and an actual cable will throw the gimbal off balance which will turn it off and cause the camera to rotate and smack against the gimbal. Why the gimbal doesn't just lock when it shuts itself off is beyond me.
Just bought a Moza air 2. But on the power out it says 16.8V and not as shown in the video 12V Will this destroy my pocket 4K? And also the lower Port you are using in this video: the manual tells me it’s an DC-Input!?!?! What is going on? I repeat: Top Port: the Little flexible plastic cap says 16.8V (next to Multi CAN) (i can show pictures of it) Lower port is (that’s what the manual says a dc input port. It’s so strange and I don’t wanna Break my camera. And another thing: I bought the gimbal with a back bag and follow focus and extra batteries. The gave me a tracking number which doesn’t show me where the shipment is and I received from a different logistic company the gimbal but without the accessories. Just the plain gimbal. No extra batteries, no back bag, no follow focus. Still hopping to receive the missing parts and get some answers about the DC-Ports. Thanks (I wrote the support already an email, no reply for two days now) I still believe this could be a great gimbal but this is a big downer at the moment
Also, take a look at 2:54, the battery icon is empty, maybe showing the %. When charging the pocket shows white icon with AC symbols. The guy is fooling himself... :D
Apparently the 12V has been replaced with a 16.8V out on newer models to better handle powering the Pocket 4k. I haven't seen Moza confirming this however.
The BM will accept a voltage range. This is an old post but currently the Air 2 does power the BM cameras. There is no internal HDMI though (face palm) so good luck seeing what you're shooting.

Is there any way to get the bad batteries out so I can replace them with good batteries? will Moza send me new batteries? Would you please contact us via Email: support@gudsen.com and send necessary information including purchase receipt and video or picture demonstrating the detailed problem?
JUST A WARNING TO YOU ALL: This gimbal does not work with the BMPCC4K in inception mode (horizontally). Which is basically useless if you need it for that. The 4K is too heavy for the gimbals motors with a cage or without with an offset plate.
I'm using this with the 6k, a cage and a Sigma 18-35. Not using the offset plate as the zoom lens forces the camera backwards in the mount. Inception works just fine. The only problem is you can't see what you're shooting because for some reason there is internal power but no internal HDMI. WHY???
The Moza Air 2 comes with two identical plates, that have two screws with different sizes. Because I have the same problem, the solution is offset the camera to the right. In order to achieve this: - Using the two plates, slide the screw to the hole and unscrew it; - Use the same invert process to 'assemble' one plate with the two smaller screws; - Now, attach the plate to the most right side of the Cage (BMCP4K Battery side). Done!! The only inconvenient is that you 'lose' the center of the Camera. Not a problem to balance the Gimbal but the lens support became useless. I hope help I you, this is an amazing piece of gear.
I purchased this gimbal and notice he never talked about controlling the camera you need a third arm, because 2 of them control the gimble, bmp4k is void of auto functions

@@3lendil I like it more now. I do have the Smallrig cable and it's light weight but not super flexible. Going to eventually get a Hollyland Mars. For the price, the Air 2 is pretty decent. I still can't get over the terrible menu system and the 10 or 20 areas where you have to guess what settings to use as the manual is useless.
Can you add a link to where we can buy the cables? I cannot be sure of what cables to buy...

Hello, great video, thank you! Would you be able to list the name of or link to the charger cable that charges the BMCC4k w Moza Air 2? What a life saver to charge from the Gimble especially for BMCC4k. Thanks again! - Jennifer
Hello, you can log in our official website to look for that.www.gudsen.com/

What are your thoughts on the moza aircross 2?
Do you have a link to purchase the cable you're using to power the BMPCC4K with the Moza Air 2? That would be much appreciated.
Here's the link for your reference: www.amazon.com/Angled-Blackmagic-Pocket-Cinema-Camera/dp/B07M5DXBVT/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=DC+5.5+power+cable+for+BMPCC+4K&qid=1557801612&s=gateway&sr=8-4.
@@GudsenMOZA Just wondering how can I tell if the Air 2 I have has 16.8 or 12 V? Thanks
Why are you powering the camera from the DC out on the handle. How come you aren't powering it from the DC out directly on the camera plate of the gimbal. There is a DC out at the base of the plate, you wouldn't need your extension and the cable wouldn't be hanging out like that.
Because the DC at the base is 7.4v and the other one is 12v. You need minimum 10v power supply to power the P4/6K via the DC input.
@@kimkrohnberle My base as 16v out and 7.4v out.
Great video. Thanks! Could you tell something more about the battery life of the gimbal when the camera is plugged in?
Haha, good question,it depends on the camera you use, but you kown,we can't test all the camera😂.
About 2h with the pocket 4k. Much more with other cameras
I'm trying to balance my bmpcc 4k (follow focus, a tilta cage, 5T SSD, and canon 24-105mm II) and I'm having a lot of trouble. The camera is leaning towards the lens. I saw some other people using the sigma 18-35--it has similar dimensions to the canon 24-105--and it is working for them. Please help!!!
Same here bro.. have you sorted out yourself yet?
@@SkyeMauMau I am very disappointed with this gimbal. I am still having issues. Now it is leaning to one side and I have to keep centering it with the app.

Hello, the max payload of MOZA Air
2 is 4.2kg.
@@GudsenMOZA may I use Nano Nucleus on Moza air 2?
That setup works just fine. You won't need an offset plate. The monitor will be useless as there is a mind boggling lack of internal HDMI and an actual cable will throw the gimbal off balance which will turn it off and cause the camera to rotate and smack against the gimbal. Why the gimbal doesn't just lock when it shuts itself off is beyond me.

@@r-mediaproduzionivideo2581 Hi,thank you😄
Just bought a Moza air 2. But on the power out it says 16.8V and not as shown in the video 12V
Will this destroy my pocket 4K?
And also the lower Port you are using in this video: the manual tells me it’s an DC-Input!?!?! What is going on?
I repeat:
Top Port: the Little flexible plastic cap says 16.8V (next to Multi CAN) (i can show pictures of it)
Lower port is (that’s what the manual says a dc input port.
Thanks
(I wrote the support already an email, no reply for two days now)
I still believe this could be a great gimbal but this is a big downer at the moment
You can't power the camera from INPUT! You can only charge the gimbal.
Can anyone help me? I just bought an air 2s and new out of the box is dead. I tried charging it for 2 days. it comes on for a half a second and goes off plugged in. unplugged it don't come on at all. I paid extra to have it delivered in 3 days and would hate to have to send it back and wait God knows how long to get a working one. Is there any way to get the bad batteries out so I can replace them with good batteries? will Moza send me new batteries? I could not find any online for the air 2s. there are pages of batteries for the air 2 that don't do me any good as a air 2s owner:(
Would you please contact us via Email: support@gudsen.com
and send necessary information including purchase receipt and video or picture demonstrating the detailed problem?
JUST A WARNING TO YOU ALL: This gimbal does not work with the BMPCC4K in inception mode (horizontally).
Which is basically useless if you need it for that. The 4K is too heavy for the gimbals motors with a cage or without with an offset plate.
I'm using this with the 6k, a cage and a Sigma 18-35. Not using the offset plate as the zoom lens forces the camera backwards in the mount. Inception works just fine. The only problem is you can't see what you're shooting because for some reason there is internal power but no internal HDMI. WHY???
I can't even get it to fit with the smallrig full cage
The Moza Air 2 comes with two identical plates, that have two screws with different sizes.
Because I have the same problem, the solution is offset the camera to the right. In order to achieve this:
- Using the two plates, slide the screw to the hole and unscrew it;
- Use the same invert process to 'assemble' one plate with the two smaller screws;
- Now, attach the plate to the most right side of the Cage (BMCP4K Battery side). Done!!
The only inconvenient is that you 'lose' the center of the Camera. Not a problem to balance the Gimbal but the lens support became useless.
I hope help I you, this is an amazing piece of gear.
@@pedroarruda7878 Thanks so much Pedro, I finally figured that out ha ha I appreciate the reply :)
@@buknar456 Happy for help you, I break my mind to solve this! ;-)

I purchased this gimbal and notice he never talked about controlling the camera you need a third arm, because 2 of them control the gimble, bmp4k is void of auto functions
It does have auto focus but it is really not worth using.its the 2nd button next to the screen on the top right with the cross.

How did you get the BMPCC to fit onto the gimbal. I just bought this gimbal, I've easily watched 5 youtube video's, everyone LOVES this gimbal, I can not figure out how anyone is mounting a BMPCC 4k/6k camera on this awful piece of equipment. I should've stuck with a Zhiyun, their set up is a walk in the park when compared to Moza 👎👎
Hi there, this quick released plate will help you to mount your camera on MOZA Air 2: store.gudsen.com/collections/moza-air-2-accessories/products/air-2-quick-released-plate
@@GudsenMOZA Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. However, the Moza Air 2 comes with 2 of these QR plates. I have since realised the issue, the BMPCC can not be mounted in the centre of this gimbal, it has to be mounted off to the right, because the camera is so wide. Having bought this gimbal based off many UA-cam reviews, I have NO clue why no one is mentioning one of the first issues of using this gimbal with a BMPCC, it does not fit on to the gimbal in a central position! I am now stuck with this gimbal until I can make money from using it. What an ironic. Here's my review of the Moza Air 2 if you can actually get beyond the mental torture of mounting a BMPCC on to it, and if you still have any interest in the gimbal, I'm sure its half decent. I don't know yet, as I've lost all interest in the less-than-adequate design when used with a BMPCC. All BMPCC owners should do themselves a favour and buy a different gimbal.
