You credit the wrong people for the shots in your videos... DOPs shoot movies, not directors. Nolan is more hands on than others, but none of these shots are really his. All of this work is Wally Pfister's and Hoyt Van Hoyema's, and to say otherwise if misleading, and diminishes their work/contributions to these films. This is a common mistake by auteur fanboys
For me, movies like Inception, Interstellar and The Dark Knight are my favorites. And although Tenet is more debatable between those who love them and others who did not like them (I liked them), he will be able to do well in his next movie: Oppenheimer
Christopher Edward Nolan: A director who started his origins with his first film: Following He went on to make such critically acclaimed films as Insomnia and Memento. He then made and is considered by Batman fans to be the best Dark Knight trilogy. And with a winning sequel. Then superheroes aside, he made hits and his masterpiece (in my opinion) is Inception, Interstellar, The Prestige and Dunkirk. And we come to the present with his recent film Tenet. Time has changed for this great director who interprets time, reality, mind and space. (And the only thing I think about Nolan now is waiting for his next movie about the theoretical physicist who created the atomic bomb, that's right... I'm talking about Oppenheimer) A genius, Nolan. A genius
One of the greatest of all time? Puhlease Jonathan Nolan has some interesting ideas that Chris has brought to life but he can't write a good script even if his life depended on it. His movies are nice popcorn flicks but nothing he makes is true art.
If I think about it, Nolan seems to have a fascination for water and the ocean, considering how Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk and TENET prominently feature it.
@@Chip_Fuse yes. The ocean and water is grand and expansive. It’s a spectacle which is what Nolan’s films are; they are grand, not small. Or at least his later films are grand.
Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan are one of the best duos In Hollywood history his music and his writing/directing are the best things to happen to these movies
I still legitimately think No Time For Caution is Nolen's best action sequence. Everything hits so perfectly in that sequence. The music matching the action and the visuals. It will always live rent free in my head.
Nolan's versatility as a director is amazing! He was nominated for Oscars for a cops movie (Memento), a sci-fi (Inception) and a war movie (Dunkirk). Also, his commitment to his projects is an example everyone in the industry should follow.
I hope, one day we'll be able to explore and understand the reality or universe to the extreme levels. Thank God for introducing me to a masterpiece like *Interstellar* and its beautiful music. Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer are geniuses. Interstellar is my most favorite film of all time and its theme Hans Zimmer's ''Organ Variation'' is my most favorite piece of music, ever.
Christopher Nolan is one of my 5 favorite directors, I still remember the emotion I had when I saw The Dark Knight for the first time since then I saw all his filmography.
Wow! What an extraordinary & unique filmmaking artist : hope to have more masterpieces from this extremely talented man. Love you, Christopher Nolan ❤️👏👍❤️!
Every morning I wake up and remember how lucky I am to have grown up watching masterpiece after masterpiece with end credits that say "directed by Christopher Nolan"
That is truly amazing , not only Hans Zimmer music could fit the Nolan movie, but Ludwig also can do the same thing. Starting in 4:04 with Ludwig bmg and many of the Nolan movie cutscene, really got nothing wrong about this.
Nolan is an amazing filmmaker who gets too much hate and too much love at the same time. There are people who discredit him as his films are very popular and others who say he is Kubrick 2.0. Two extremes.
Can't decide if I like his work with pfister or hoyte more. The movies look great regardless. The dark knight, interstellar, tenet and Dunkirk look the best
I'm curious to know from people are are much more into cinematography than me. What makes his shots so unique? Like he has these sweeping shots of a city like in the Dark Knight Trilogy and I think about the opening to The Dark Knight when it does that shot getting closer to the building and you can tell it's Nolan. There are other directors that do sweeping shots of cities, Michael Mann is one that comes to mind I like, but what from a cinematic point of view makes Nolans shots look unique to him?
I always love the way you put similar shots from film(s) in an order. A great video again. Btw, some emotional shots or shots which would have fit well with calm music (like Interstellar's theme is the beginning) were put at places where loud music was playing in bg. So, I think you should change that. This not a negative comment but I'm just was trying to help to do better.
Here are my ranking of Christopher Nolan movies WORST TO BEST 12. Tenet (2020) 11. Memento (2000) 10. Dunkirk (2017) 9. The Following (1998) 8. The Dark Knight Rises (2012) 7. Insomnia (2002) 6. The Prestige (2006) 5. Batman Begins (2005) 4. Inception (2010) 3. The Dark Knight (2008) 2. Oppenheimer (2023) 1. Interstellar (2014)
Can u make a edit on the movie called annihilation?? It's just a beautiful film and the shots in that film aree soooo beautiful and colourful if u make a video on that I'll be very happy
I like to think that somehow all Christiphor Nolan movies are connected, and we're just waiting for him to figure out how to make the multiversal story.

Woah , you make videos upto 3 weeks before the upload.

How about crediting the right people for the shots in your videos before you start asking for money...
"Your videos"? You just steal other people's hard work and repackage it for UA-cam. Without permission. You're the definition of a bottom feeder
Hey.....we want part 3 for this....❤❤❤❤
This man truly is a hero. Not the hero Hollywood deserves, but the one that it needs. No less than a knight, shining.
For me, movies like Inception, Interstellar and The Dark Knight are my favorites. And although Tenet is more debatable between those who love them and others who did not like them (I liked them), he will be able to do well in his next movie: Oppenheimer
@@diegoperleche5177 Unpopular opinion: Tenet is better than Inception and is easily in his top 5, maybe top 3.

Very true iirc water and was featured relatively prominently in insomnia as well

This video celebrates three things at the same time:
Cinematography
Direction
and that incredible Hans Zimmer music
Only 1 of 3 tracks are composed by hans zimmer
Third one was Ludwig garonsson lmao
But that score still slaps
Thankyou Nolan for everything in the future i'm promise if i had a son i'll name him christopher nolan
Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve are probably the best directors out there right now
