Thank you so much for watching my videos and be safe!
I'm badly addicted to the background score.
me to and ive never felt this away about movie
It's titled POSTERITY, the video is a 3 min excerpt of the 12-minute track.
It's amazing
Same.
I was, now i can't listen to it
I know this film didn't really fit with a lot of other people's tastes but for me it was amazing
Saaaame
Same brother I loved it hell I liked it
Same
This film was not for critics but only for audience
The movie was hated cause people didn't understand the plot of the movie. It was confusing & it was for me also. Is only when I watched it a 3rd time I realized such & such and then my reaction was like this movie isn't bad after all
And these are all real. They didn't use any CGI. Damn, truly a masterpiece.
Well, they did. Around 30 or 40 frames of it. So, not even a full 2 sec of a runtime.
IT's all in the Camera
@@Tabris94 That figure is insane
It's visually stunning and action packed, but definitely not a masterpiece.
It's improper execution, poor script writing and terrible sound editing are some drawbacks.
Masterpiece is Inception

So... every frame of the film? Where's the rest?

i think this might be the highest quality of a movie i’ve ever seen, literally giving my own eye quality a run for its money
That’s 70mm for ya. Insane dynamic range and clarity, essentially every frame is a 90-120mp photograph. Through a projector it’s basically 12k
@@brochachoiii6657 being real, we can't even differentiate between 4K and 8K, let alone 12K

Really good job with this one, congrats!

“Tenet wasn’t founded in the past, it will be founded in the...future ”
My favourite shot of em all!!!
The best one... Chills
Yeah, a little bit more of Priya would have been great! I admired her costumes, especially in the park scene. We only see her house in Mumbai
Tenet was founded both in the past and the future.
1:17 They're swaggering in unison
Lmao never noticed that.
exaggeratedly
@@megatronsroyalemissary382 exaggeratedly, yes, but also badass-illy.
Where ?
When they get locked in the vault without air and they have to get out
I can't understand why critics rated this film below 8.0. I honestly thought TENET is one of his greatest works.
Most of the critics failed to understand it on their 1st preview bcuz most of the critics r dumb...
They must give it a second try and acknowledge how everything makes sense in this mind blowing intelligent movie...
Sometimes, masterpieces are appreciated with time
This movie will go down as one his greatest works ever...
Tenet is a good movie, but for me the characters are little disappointing. I mean, in inception for example, we had fantastic action scenes and a intelligent plot, but we had great characters too and this is important for our connection w/ the story. The first act also didn't work to me, have so much confusion things that should be basic to understand the movie u know? In spite of that i enjoyed, is very entertaining.
I think it's because they rated the overall aspects of the movie right in the theater. Everything related to the shots and pictures, this film is amazing. But when it comes to screenplay and sound mixing, the critics has a different opinions, at least when they saw it first time on the theater. I only experienced this movie on bluray and it's fantastic. The only problem I found about this movie is its character's development, nevertheless it's a spy movie. So, I don't give a single shit. The sound mixing has no problem on the bluray, I can hear every dialogues mixed with some brilliant background musics by Goransson. In my opinion, this is arguably the most 'Nolan' movie he ever made, alongside Memento and Inception.
@@tonin5047 you have to admit the hot sauce fight was brilliant, maybe the best fight choreography in Nolan's works.

I saw the film 18 times in IMAX, 5 times standard. The cinematography is gorgeous and the movie is a masterpiece.
18
18 times??? lol
thats literally like over £300 jesus, probably seen the movie more times than Christopher Nolan himself lmao
Wtf?????
18 Times?? 😂😂
I dont care what everyone says , Tenet was and is a masterpiece for me. Hell I even consider it my #1 most favourite movie. Everything about it fascinates me , the art , the cinematography , the colour grading , the storytelling , and especially the music and action sequences. Imo it's Nolan's most underappreciated work of art.
#1 is wild. What would be some of your other possible picks
The temporal pincer movement shots are AMAZING.
The whole film is a temporal pincer movement.
That airport scene was amazing 😍😍👍👍
First Nolan movie I ever saw in the theatre

Me too!
Same
And it was lovely
Yeah, me too. And it's safe to say it was not the last. :)
Me too
3:33 is the only frame that perfectly says that 'End is the beginning and beginning is the end'.
Okayy Am about to go a bit far on this one.. But the fanboi in me has to xD At 3:33
So 10(TEN-NET): Stalsk-12 Battle lasts 10 mins...
10÷3(Neil,TP,Ives)=3.33333
3.33 is a Palindrome also
I think Tenet has the best color grading out of all the Nolan movies, and unlike Interstellar and Dunkirk even the close-ups are very sharp and clean. Tho the overall Cinematography was a bit better in Dunkirk imo
I still miss Wally Pfister sometimes but Hoyte van Hoytema is brilliant.
It’s interesting his movies had very naturalistic colour until Dunkirk where there was a slight orange and teal grading and he’s used that here as well
@@micahjohansson7573 i do like Pfister as well.. but when coming to combat sequences, Pfister always does a more shaky cam movements comapred to Hoytema where his camera movement is so fluid & seamless. So I'd say Hoytema is a real nice upgrade that really enhances Nolans high stakes sequences like 747 & opening siege sequence with ease.
And also his colour grading is more like an enhanced realism where everything feels more organic with added teal grading so it feels more tighter and intimate. I'd say Hoytema is more detailed and technical than Pfister imo.
The source footage for this video seems to be from the HDR Blu-ray-the tone mapping "conversion" isn't completely accurate and the nit value not correctly applied; highlights appear dim. A more accurate representation of the film would be best sourced from the Blu-ray, encoded in rec.709 color and gamma.
It's actually interesting and unusual because Nolan is colorblind
1:12 one of my favorite shots out of the entire movie. Nolan really knows how to work with great cinematographers
Why it's your favorite shot?
@@ramravan7706 it just looks cool lol. I love the dark color grade and it looks badass to have the protagonist watch everyone going into the turnstile to become inverted
I love this shot too! There’s something about this cinematography that I really love about this movie
Nolan's a big fan of "character's back facing camera" shots.
I think what brings this shot over the top to being one of the coolest things ever is the really precise shallow focus on Protagonist as the camera creeps up on him. Makes it feel like an initiation.
These Scenes In IMAX were so MESMERISING
this film is mastery- pure and simple
Nolan+Van Hoytema are just one of the perfects duos of the world, they can balance images and colours in a flawless way.
I just realized nearly every shot is in IMAX
yeah! 200million baby
The shot at 3:04 with The Protagonist with that cold stare while wearing the oxygen mask is super chilling.
Yes! Absolutely stunning!
Best shots of tenet: uploads whole movie
I absolutely loved the cinematography in Tenet. Nolan really knows how to use IMAX in his movies
1:57 Feel it!
Me neither❤
this film was amazing
I saw it yesterday and I loved it
This shows that the whole film is a cinematic spectacle
In my opinion, Tenet was absolutely PERFECT
The cinematography is astounding and gorgeous. This movie is a masterpiece
Love it or hate it but Tenet is a visually stunning film.
Yes!
Even if you dont like the plot of the movie (that I love), the cinematography, action and soundtrack are enough to enjoy this movie
so true
If this movie doesn't win best cinematography we riot
Edit: Welp :(
Even though I love the cinematography of Tenet, I think that Mank or Nomadland will win the Oscar. They look fantastic
I vote for editing
@@Kumars-d1c Why not both?
@@OBryanAguiar just imagine those inverse & current scenes creation came together without any single a single flaw & fast I can tell nolan hammered those editors heads lots of times but background score can be done by any professional musician but this kind editing is so tough that’s what I felt while I was watching the movie
@@Kumars-d1c Yeah, totally agree. I can't remember last time I went to theaters and really felt the "cinema magic". Sometimes I just smiled because it was too good or insane.
That being said, when compared to Mank, I think the odds are even, Mank apparently has one thing the critics love, tribute to the old cinema, that's why la la land got so many oscars. My opinion tho
3:33 you can actually see ives and the protagonist being dragged out of the explosion
Edit:🤯
Ommm my god!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Damnmmmmm
Hellllllllllllllllllllll
That means in that car, there is inverted Neil 🤒🤒🤒🤒🤕🤕🤕
Omg
Must have watched this 20 times and I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out. Nolan doesn't miss a beat, does he?? XD
holy....
Litteraly tells us how it ends without us even realizing
Watched the movie 5 times; It didn't bore me still
Although i do miss Wally Pfister Tenet had some of the best color grading and sharpest shots of any Nolan film.
Loved it.
0:24 you can actually see dust particles are moving in backward direction
My favorite shots is anything in the turnstile rooms. Glorious Reds and Blues.
Damn this movie was amazing
Had some of the most impressive moments I've ever seen.
I like how the music in this is even louder than the actual movie. Excellent work.
This cinematography deserve an Oscar
Amazing shots, TENET is an absolute cinematic masterpiece!
Favorite Nolan movie.
0:32 really proud being an Indian, this shows India's potential, but Indian directors don't even know what hdr is!
0:39 favorite shot in the film
That 1st point is ture lmao
Nolan doesn't utilize HDR that much as well
@@vb8428Dude he shoots on 70mm Imax film, not digital, the concept of hdr doesn't apply unless you transfer the video to digital.
Actually i am searching for this comment and I found it !
That yacht shot in vietnam is the best
Absolutly master piece
my favorite shot is when the protagonist is driving the boat and kat is sitting in the background
Best Cinematography winner for sure in Oscar season
Oof :(
basically the whole movie
If this doesn't get a best cinematography nomination I'll be pissed.
the academy is biased with popularity and not quality sadly... this is the best movie of the year for sure

Masterpiece of a Film.
I think people will appreciate this film more in the future.
Great edit by the way
3:12 put this one as my pc wallpaper, it's so beautiful.
Wouldn't have thought of it myself, but that really is a beautiful shot.
Tenet has amazing cinematography
Absolutely one of the most beautifully shot films I've ever seen in my life!
The fucking cinematography is off the hook not to mention the soundtrack. Really nolanesque, one of the greatest director
Anyone think that TENET should’ve won the reward for best original score?
Instead of Soul. I enjoyed both TENET and Soul but TENET surely deserves it more. Ludwig killed it on this soundtrack.
it is so beautiful
my favorite movie of all time
Goes to show why precise location is so so important
Nolan’s best-shot movie, bar none. It’s a masterpiece, from concept to style.
Bar none isn't a Nolan film
Too bad they edited it to death to shorten the runtime
What a masterpiece....
I goddamn love this movie. Perfection.
Every scene of the TENET is amazing shot 🔥
When the film is itself one Amazing Shot!
I hope this wins Best Cinematography.
Chris Nolan, Hoyte Van Hoytema and Ludwig nailed it🔥🔥
The shot make the film, the sound add a sense to it, the color beauty make it different, better
Sometimes i think Nolan is like "Fuck it, get a helo shot. 200 million baby"
And I am all for it
The greatest film ever made
Most of the amazing shots are being shot with IMAX cameras. That's breathtaking
Mind bending movie with mind bending music 🔥
I know that this will be the first movie I'll put on when I get a new OLED TV and some good surround sound speakers.
I feel like this is an intuitive film. Nolan trusts the audience to make sense of it on their own.
I think its a little confusing for its own right, they only really explain what they’re doing once and then expect you to remember everything. By the end fight, I literally forgot what they were trying to get! Still great though
@@BeeboCertified that's why you gotta see it more than once at least.
Good wallpaper material 😍
Best movie of the century
Hoyte van hoytema is great 👍👍........
Great cinematography and camera work.......
Finally, a UA-camr that doesn't mess with the RGB channels of the original film. Thank you so much for this! Amazing work!
0:09 oooooh my God what a shot. Loving helicopters I love every scene near the end of this movie. The amount of helicopters is beautiful
Tenet should win Best Cinematography
That ship looks really impressive
The pros and cons of this film is the way everything happen in the two way forward and backward at the same time may overwhelmed the viewers but when you watch it slowly you can see how hard and amazing of these shots
Definitely film of the year.
TENET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t freaking wait til it hit blu ray next Tuesday!!!!!!!!! I actually really enjoyed TENET
2:49 and 2:56 are my favourites, goddamn Italy is so beautiful. Oh and congrats to your video deservingly blowing off.
Thank you for support!
The world dont want to hear it, but its top 3 best Nolan
I have a great experience in theater with this movie.
the movie is finished for me but it just started for you...
As soon soon as Tenet is released entire movie is put on youtube in parts.
1:37 damn :D
I have no clue what's going on, but seeing glass unshatter like that is deeply satisfying
This music hits me every fucking time I hear
It's amazing movie Christopher Nolan he's the best maker ever i see❤
Really great video, there are SOOO many great scenes its nuts
Just Imagine... You are part of blue team and will live 2020 in Invert mode. And worst thing is 2020 in a never ending LOOP.

TENET is ahead of its time, well thats what I think we'll see in like 10 years if I was right
Inspiring!
what makes this soo good is that its in 4K!!
I saw this movie more than 10 times
