Using a box 3 prime 9 shifter and mech with a baloney (£12.84)) 11-50t cassette and a Chinese 9 spd chain (rainbow colour £12.63) and it shifts perfectly, must have done close on to 600 miles since fitting, ridden in dry ,wet, muddy conditions. Changed the jockey wheels over to my hope ones also.
Up 39th street one handed! What was the size of the chainring? I bought the box set for my Brooklyn machine works build. I was told they got a thumbs up from you.
This was from a few months ago when everything was still in stock before COVID issues messed up supply chains. Some suppliers are starting to get stock again.
I am sure they want to sell all of their parts. But, the chain is physically different that a standard 9 speed chain. It has the same inner plate spacing as an 11 speed chain but the outer width of a 9 speed. This makes it work with modern narrow wide rings and allows it to be more durable by having a longer pin length and coverage.

That's awesome. It would help a lot of people out to learn that they do not have to use a single branded group when piecing together a good bike.
Thanks the video Eddie!
Your welcome Pete! See you at the track sometime.

Box just wants to sell their chains...
