lol I am normally all over the place. I just try and upload whenever I get done with a project vs. a set upload schedule. I not sure what is better, just random days whenever or a set days of the week?
Yup I have found the trx needs a little more lift in the front / preload. It goes down / noise dives too much do to all that weight up front. I bet you are seeing a difference if you drive it hard over bumps. The raptor has less weight and a little more travel so it doesn’t bottom out as much. That’s another thing I do not like about the trx is the front does not have enough travel in stock form. I do not want to lift my trx but more of a leveling kit / a little noise high so it doesn’t bottom out. I like the fact you don’t have to take everything apart to add the preload spacer. Thanks for the video on this.
Looks like this is a new rear bag kit I just ran across. Thanks for the view! scdperformance.com.au/products/ram-1500-trx-airbags?pr_prod_strat=collection_fallback&pr_rec_pid=7415819501719&pr_ref_pid=7122515165335&pr_seq=uniform
Great video Tyler. What’s your opinion on the preload spacers vs the new Geiser springs? I’ve been wanting to get the Rogue spacer but been holding out to hear more about the springs.
That is a good question. I personally haven't got to ride or drive a TRX or Raptor with replacement front springs so I really can't talk much on a comparison unfortunately. It would be really cool to be able to drive 2 trucks back to back with both options to see the ride difference. Thanks for the view!
Upper control arm still changes angle no matter what kit you install and I would change this to so ball joints are at the stock angle. Correct me if I'm wrong. On my truck I have the preload the spacer and upper control arm.
Yes the upper and lower arm angle and CV shaft angle will increase with any lift. So far I haven't seen any TRX upper or lower ball joint failures but those upper arms took look nice! Thanks for the view!
He Tyler, regarding the ride height recalibration, can we do it with the Alfa OBD link and program? And to do this procedure do we have to lift the car so the suspension at free load and tiers just touching the ground? Appreciate more details on this ride height recalibration
That is a good question, I don't have alfa OBD so I'm not sure. But yes one procedure requires you to lift the truck and let the suspension hang and the other requires it to be a ride height.
Tyler, how's the ride quality after leveling ? I've had issues with past trucks after leveling with vibrations and how's the front end handling hard bumps ? Don't want my TRX riding like my 2500. Good video ! Thanks Scott,
Awesome video, been really looking at doing this. Do you know if you get it installed at the dealer is the warranty safe? Also do feel your truck sits perfectly level, or does it still have a small rake? I wouldn’t mind a very small rake, I just definitely don’t want the nose up too high.
It really just depends on your truck, I have measured a lot of TRX's and they all seem to sit slightly different. I would measure the front and rear of you truck to determine how much rake you have to know how much of the kit you might need to install. On the warranty side of things, regardless of where it is installed you could possibly still run into warranty issues if you have a dealer that is very anti aftermarket parts. I theory a dealer has to prove that the aftermarket part caused the factory part to fail in order to not warranty it, but it is kind of a grey area. Thanks for the view!
Hey Tyler I’m trying to decide on this or the rough country. I have driven with rough country and installed it on my buddies truck and I have to do modifications to make it perfect was wondering if you could do a walk around or send me photos of your truck sitting level so I can render my decision. I appreciate this video and any help/advise you can give me.
Just looked at the Rough Country kit and the thickness of the top mount spacers has me worried with front suspension full droop angles on the ball joints and cv shafts. I think I top spacer on the Rogue off-road kit would be the largest I would want to go with.
@@TylerPotter Thank you for your input on the situation. Also, what is the brand and part number for those black lug nuts and do you think the mopar black lugs will fit?
@@TylerPotter Also, not trying to be a pain but I want to make a decision if I am going to purchase this kit by any chance do you have some photos you can upload of the truck now that it is level as it seems to sit about a quarter inch high in the front but It would help me make my decision to see some more photos. Thank you very much for your help.
I currently swapped out the preload spacer and just installed the top mount spacer so I could see how much lift just it added and because I can never leave anything alone lol
I searched and searched and finally found the lug nuts I have and they are still cheap on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/24-GORILLA-EX-LARGE-SEAT-FACTORY-STOCK-WHEELS-LUG-NUTS-14X1-5-ACORN-RIMS-BLACK/184631306292
So far the only TRX CV shaft issues I have seen are people damaging the CV boots when they are taking them apart or putting them together. But time will tell on cv joint wear with more miles. Thanks for the view!
My ram dealer has never done the right height calibration, they are willing to do it but need me to email them instructions. Do you have anything you can send me? Thank you!
Let them know it is just one of the operations in the ADCM or active dampening control module that they will need to use wiTech for. Thanks for the view!
Just picked up my TRX truck. Where did you get the rock mud flap protectors? Tyler, I just purchased the auto drop steps from dealer noticed you went with a different side step can you explain why you did not like the drop steps? Also did you change air intake to after market if so what do you recommend? love your channel keep it up.
I would love the power side steps but I wanted the fixed steps to help keep some rock chips off of the bed sides and rockers. This is how I installed mine. ua-cam.com/video/w8UowuBCGi0/v-deo.html

Hey Tyler, great video!!! I'm glad that the TRX drives & rides well after you installed the spacers!!! Thanks for sharing another fun video!!! 👍👍🙂
Thanks for watching!

Excited to see something for air bags for the back to help with towing appearance!

No vibrations but the added preload will add more firmness. It is still softer than dad's 2500 thought lol Thanks for the view!

Get that shock from the warranty bin? 😂
lol You called it! It was too cool to get thrown away as scrap! This was on a really early 2021 that can in new slightly leaking at the line.
