I would love to get in contact with the mother in this documentary that's caring for her epileptic daughter. I have some encouraging information about Ebony's condition. I, too, have an epileptic child. If you know Michelle, please tell her to contact me via commenting on this post.

I remember when I had JROTC. We were down in the basement and we heard the fire alarm go off. It wasn't uncommon for the alarm to go off because we had our fair share of pranksters. But on that particular day the sgt. major told us to sit there because he thought it was a prank. Several students said at the same time 'how come I smell smoke?' The smell started to get stronger and some of the other students who had the class came running downstairs to tell us to get out b/c the other side of the building was on fire. The worse was that this was in the middle of a brutal winter and my locker was around the corner from where the fire was and a substitute teacher wouldn't let me get my coat. We had to stand outside in the cold for over two hours. After the fire was contained we had to go back to class. The principal, Mr. Bradford-I believe-scolded the students on their behavior. He was disappointed about how we didn't follow proper safety procedures. I was like heck, of all those times when we had a fire drill there was nothing to worry about. Students had been trying to burn that school down since I attended and never succeeded. But that time it almost happened. To learn that school has fallen apart w/o someone trying to burn it down really surprised me.
