I bought a DS Laramie the exact same as yours in 2019 and traded it a couple of months ago for a new DT Laramie. I done just over 50K KLMS in the 2.5 years I had it and never had any problems. I couldn’t be happier with my RAMs
Thanks for the video Casey. We were considering a DS for some time now and we just bought a DT, thanks to your video and others. Much appreciated! Thank you.👍
Yes it was a huge mistake getting rid of the v8. I think you can still get it in the Lexas for an extra $5000 but you can't beat the American stuff. Not just Ram but Chevrolet or Ford are really good.
Thanks for the video mate I’m just tossing up between keeping my vx or selling it and buying the ram 1500 DT limited The price of the 200s is out of control and I can almost swap it with no more to pay,,still not sure what to do 🤔
Hi mate, I was same, very nervous about changing from the VX. I’m happy with the Ram so far done 2000km, it’s more comfortable, spacious and way more features. So much grunt too. Last trip away towing a small boat, 14.6 litres/100. Downside is it takes a bit of getting used to for parking, and definitely not as good off road without a few mods. Overall no regrets so far. FYI I sold my 12/18 VX with 62000km for $92k. Probably a bit cheap.
Hello Mr. Spinks. In the USA it’s very hard to get land cruisers but very easy to get full size trucks. After a year or so, do you miss the LC? I am very interested in getting a LC and doing the Aussie thing (ARB bumpers, etc.)
Depends what you’re use is. The Ram is definitely much more luxurious and nicer to drive. Not as nimble as cruiser and bit of a handful in tight parking. But after two LC200’s and now 40,000km on Ram I’m not disappointed. My bro just bought a new DT Laramie and it’s so different to my DS - more refined. Would I go back to a cruiser? Na
@@AK-vk6wg awesome! My mate just bought a DT limited and has set off from Tas to Qld towing his 21’ bushmaster van and is averaging around 22 litres/100. I’m happy to have a chat if you want 0429978045 cheers
Hi mate. I was getting 13/14 average with cruiser, 11 on a run and in the 20’s towing a 3 t boat. Ram doing 15/16 average, 12 on a run and 21 with boat. Much more fun and comfortable to drive 👍
Thanks for the feedback, I’ve got a 2017 Sahara and have just sold 1 boat and have placed an order on its replacement but I will need to increase my towing capacity. Have been looking at GCM upgrades etc but with the current value of the 200’s thinking about selling it and I could jump into a new Ram for around 10k
@@chrismccannaus I had 2 200’s from new and loved them, so it was a hard call to change. But overall, I’m really happy. Feel free to call me sometime if you want a chat. 0429978045
No problems, love it. Not much good off road without mods but much more comfortable than the 200. Fuel use around 14.7 km litre average over 80,000km. Best I’ve seen is 10.7 on a long run👍

Totally agree.
Laramie was a brand of cigarettes on The Simpsons I think.

Hi AA, no I don’t really miss the LC. The ram is much nicer to drive and for towing, also having the Uteback for me is better. Cheers
I bet u won't have it in 20y..
Ramm😍😍😍😍
Does it have driving modes, like snow mode? Greetings from Tassie 🇦🇺
Hi mate, just has 4wd auto or lock. I’m in Tas too, Smithton. Where abouts you?
I'm in the process of making this same decision ,, do I buy a 2022 RAM Laramie or a new LC300 Sahara

@@caseyspinks9810 ,, I'll be using it as a 4wd tourer across Australia with a few aftermarket accessories added to it

Ram. Trust me... I was surprised with mine, too... Just an amazing machine in every way! All the best,👍
What’s your experience with fuel usage v’ s the cruiser?
