    Well,...it was coming along well until I got a burr wrapped around my shirt and broke the shaft. Also broke the fitting next to the SR motor. Went right back to the web and ordered two shafts and a coupling. They should be here soon. Thank you so much.

      Laurie McConnell Uhh be very careful and always wear eye protection no matter what just a quick touch up or long carving.I have never broke a shaft before. Like to se what you doing.

    Awesome,cant wait to start carving.i have always made art out of all kinds of metal.including an iron man suit,but wood carving will be my first.

    John here watch your video and tryed my luck on elm wood old branch came out pretty good like it so I stain the owl then sprayed it with clear coat, gave to a friend he really like it. Super thanks.

    😮 wow there is something about watching you carve and the way you do it, is like none other, and I watch all the carving videos. You really have talent, I could watch you all day. Every time you do a carving I try to do the same thing 😂...It never turns out like yours it always turns out like mine 😖. I can’t wait to see what you have next 😘

      kmeyer52172 Hey thats a stick on sandpaper. I don’t like to use hook and loop.Usually those not holding strong and falling a part quickly.The attachment i have no idea where I got it from sorry. Thanks for watching 👍

    Nice job! Out of curiosity, how did you finish yours? Paint? Stain? I just carved one myself, and I'm ready to finish it. I thought about using my wood burner to add in some details before finishing it off. Thanks!

      I usually just put 2-3 coats of danish oil. I do experiments with wood burner too but what i like the best is still danish oil. Thx

      I like to use cedar from local hardware store like lowes. All i have to do is cut down to smaller pieces. Soft enough pretty when you apply the finish

      Keith Kachnovich I love Kutzall ones. Cores and fine taper shapes are the most what i using and a tear drop diamond for details.

      Claude Kolwelter I using dry wood way more easier and you don’t have to clean the bits every 5 minutes
