    I love watching anything that has to do with wood carving, I just wish I could tell what was being used for bits because I want to take up carving of all types. Not that I think for a minute I am capable of doing what I watched just now but I would like to try it out to get a feel for what kind of carving I will like the most.

    Hey there, I’ve just come across your channel, which has really helped me with my carving. I was just curious if there was any particular kind of wood that you prefer or use in your videos?

    • @carvingandsuch
      @carvingandsuch  4 роки тому +3

      Adam Hi I usually collect all kinds of nearby all dry driftwood. And i will see later how hard or soft the wood itself. I prefer medium ones.

    Great stuff mate. I love it. Man I really need a dust collecting table. In the summer its ok just sitting on the back step but winters here now in the UK! I've always been a night owl & love the connection they have to shamans & stuff not to mention the UFO connection. Check out Mike Mc Clellands book the Messengers about owls & UFO screen memories. Really good. Cheers.

    • @carvingandsuch
      @carvingandsuch  4 роки тому

      TRIPLESEVENSIX You definitely need one I built my table on a rainy afternoon with some leftover materials.
      Just added a dust collector and no more dust working really good . I have some thicker wood and I thinking about to just sit outside and work on them while the weather cold here.

    • @triplesevensix291

      @@carvingandsuch I also have COPD so dust is a real no no. Cheers. Stay safe.

    Why do you switch from the foredom to the dremel when carving, why not just one. Great vid

    • @carvingandsuch
      @carvingandsuch  Рік тому

      Foredom more powerful for removing wood quickly but the hand piece more thicker than the dremel and when i do details I prefer thinner grip.

    Very nice work, owls are my favourite birds. As you’ve inspired me to have a go ( I have a Dremel/Foredom already) can you advise what grade of bits you used, ie - Medium, Course, Very Coarse etc
    Thanks 👍

    • @carvingandsuch
      @carvingandsuch  11 місяців тому

      I like to use corse and fine. I stay away from extreme bits. Those jumps and fingers get hurt. Thank you 🙏
