The wood is cuban laurel oak.
The owl 🦉was always there you just cut away the wood that it was hiding in.... bloody fantastic... huge talent...
That is _exactly_ what I thought!
I was looking for a video on how to use my new Dremel and found this jewel!!! The owl carving is sooooo gorgeous!!! Surely I'll try to do one myself. Thanks for sharing such an inspirational video!!!
Yo can see my works
That's an awesome little owl!
I'm going to try this this weekend, got a bunch of dried spalted sycamore around and some new ruby profiles to try out. Thanks for the lesson here!
How did it go
Thank you so much my friend
Yes is very Amazing his Job
I always am amazed at how sculptors can see the object in depth before starting. New to carving and I'm hoping the skill comes with practice but if there are any videos you can create to help train in the process that would be great. Will check out the rest of your videos. Maybe it's there already. Thank you for sharing your time, talent and inspiration.
Time Enuf I glad you like it have fun practicing dot give up an let me know if you need help
I recommend getting familiar with wood spirit carving as there's some good videos for it and you start to get a feel for what the wood wants to do and seeing the little patterns. Best of luck
I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.
It sure is
Studying several carvers techniques for carving owls in a nook; this is a beautiful, yet fast tutorial! I'll have to slow it down as I try to carve mine; feel a bit intimidated but going to give it a try! Thank you :)
Questi manufatti artigianali sono davvero deliziosi. Mi piace il modo in cui vengono realizzati. Bravissimo
Iole Romeo Thank you I appreciate 👋
Could you show us the bits you are using before you carve , because when it rotates that fast it could be anything ?

Not yet but I tried ebony. Oh my I love the deep dark color but impossible to carve it . I made a simple ring out of it anyway 😉
I do not have any talent or skills this is a mystery to me. How wonderful to be talented.

Beautifully done! Love it 😊
Браво! Отличная работа.
An excellent peice... Thank you.Just one thing so we can learn better from you... Make a list & Link the "Specific Kutzall Burrs" you use during the carving? ... Shape Name... + Texture Exterme, Coarse, fine etc.? - And the make & Model of wood burner you use... I know it is a little more trouble for you, but it will be very helpful and informative for carving beginners and "newbees" who are slowly putting together the tools and accesories for woodcarving. ... Thanks again.
Jay C I already did something similar

@@carvingandsuch Thanks for the reply. It appears that you may be using one of the Slow Speed Mandrels that I make. Calvin Rocky Bosarge told me he sent you one. I wonder if you might be interested in another sanding product that I make as well. it is a soft rubber contour sander that goes on my mandrels. If you would like to try it I would be pleased to send along one for you to try. At no cost to you of course. If you would like to try it all I would need from you is your mailing address and I can pop one in the mail.
Thank you. I’m more than happy to try.
Please send me an email to Carvigandsuch@gmail.com and continue from there. Thank you

My friend that is amazing. But this isn’t something the average person can do. You are either very gifted, very experienced or both!! Regardless that is truly amazing!!!! Thanks for sharing.... :))
Glad you like it
@@carvingandsuchLiked it?? Loved it!!! I was amazed how skilled you are. GOD bless friend... :))........
What a wonderful work, thank you..
Love the work! Only nit with video: I can’t tell which bits you’re using for what work, especially when you use the smaller bits. When changing bits, holding the new one up close to the camera with your hand behind it for focus would be quite helpful for folks like me who are here to learn.
On my newest videos I’m showing what bits I use. My older videos like this one I don’t. Check them out and also I listed all of the links in the description too. Thx
Wow! And the fact that you did not draw on it beforhand, just the eyes, wow! What wood is that?
Great job I liked the carving and the burn awesome. Keep them coming!
Kenneth Dunn Thank you
Congratulations, your work is very artistic, I admire the skill you have in carving, it looks like you made a drawing on a sheet of paper

Un artista verdaderamente. Podrias decir que tipos de punta usas para cada detalle. Quiero intentar hacer trabajos así.
