His face when seeing Joey Jordinson upside down brought tears to my eyes man. Just shows you how epic he was at his craft. RIP Joey.
RIP #1 🖤🤘😢💔🤘🖤 We love you, Joey
Same here I'm totally crying right now
This comment is how I found out he passed. Had to look it up to make sure. I'm glad I got to see them live before, sad I won't be able to see him again in a next one. He really was great.
@@mrshinypant Sadly he stopped playing with them 8 years ago due to health issues, and passed away a week or two ago. :-(
If I could I would trade with him so you guys could have Joey back

Fucks yeah🤘🤘
Was on my bucket list for sure!!
Same here dude, one of the best musical experiences of my life !

man, im 38 and i just started listening to slipknot 2 weeks ago, my reaction is the exact same when i see this part of spit it out. ive listened to death metal and punk my whole life and for some reason have absolutely been sleeping on slipknot, and now i have 25 years of catching up to do.
@@cybergimp nah. the og self titled album is slipknot. iowa, their next album is 1/2 to mostly trash. from there its all crap.

Corey's stage presence and crowd control is unreal. 🤘
Best frontman alive today.
on another level

I think it's more than just crowd control. He's got complete command of the entire arena.

i love seeing the metal heads in these comments. absolutely no hate and nothing but love, just shows how wrong people are about us!
Honestly overall I've never met a group of people as lively as metal heads. Even in the pits, everyone helps pick you up, everyone looks out for everyone. It's amazing.
"Wrong" about metalheads? Like, who the fuck out there really thinks metalheads are all about hate and don't know how to show love? You made a strawman, so you can pat yourself on the back over a preconceived notion that doesn't exist.
Here's the deal... practically nobody gives a fuck about metalheads anymore. There's very little stigma that comes with being a metalhead now days. People are currently more concerned about other subcultures and cross sections of society. If anyone has any negative opinions of metalheads in this day and age, it's just about their taste in music or their fashion sense. Nobody is afraid or worried about metalheads. They don't think they're dangerous, angry, unfriendly, violent, or any of that kind of bullshit.
Sorry, you're not special. Get over yourself.
:) DAMN RIGHT !! FAMILY !!
Right up until someone says "Nickelback are metal", then there's nothing but hostility.
@@DarthMohammedRules Ehh, there's definitely still some preconceived notions out there but I'm sure you know all and speak for everyone's experience.
"Take care of yourselves, take care of each other". Metal is a community man, lyrics may be full of anger, but we love everybody.
Truth
That’s facts. Lyrics and music may be mainly angry and heavy. But we love and care for everyone
Exactly, we're not just a genre we're entire family
Daron Malakian's Fedora That’s facts💯when you go to a show, you are surrounded by strangers. But we’re all family. Someone falls in the pit, you pick them up

R.I.P Joey gone but never forgotten.

And Paul! May they both rest in peace and will NEVER be forgotten
His face when he see joey jordison flying in your drum is so fucking amazing

Slipknot concerts are crazy fun. Slipknot goes all in with there performance, but if you enter the pit that’s on you
I was at the one in omaha and then the one in des moines iowa, that one was fucking crazy!!!
Most people are pretty nice in a mosh pit... most people lol
i saw them in august, first time crowd surfing. it was fucking awesome.
Joshua Ratzlaff i went to the one in lincoln august 2019
🤣🤣🤣
80,000 people in that crowd, and im one of them. Got battered and loved every second of it, best show ive ever seen live.
When I was there, I was dragged into one of 8 circle pits. Equal parts terrifying and exhilarating. I was happy to survive! 🤘🤘🤘
With you brother.
Owww man, you so lucky
Cracked a rib in one of the pits 🤣 awesome week, DL is my annual holiday
How old were you?
One thing about Corey:he excels at A LOT.But controlling a crowd and keeping them engaged he's masterful at.
Back when they were newer and I hadn't heard much of them, my friend took me to their concert. Usually if I don't know the songs I don't get that engaged. But as soon as Corey went on stage he just grabs your soul and possesses you until you are worn out and euphoric at the end of the show. One of the best shows I've ever been to. ❤
@@morticiaheisenberg9679 one of a very few.
God, shout out to Mick Thomson (Guitarist) who held that riff so perfectly while corey was talking, that takes a shit ton of endurance
I was thinking the same thing and Joey holding time for him too
I saw he was playing a telecaster and my only question was how the fuck did he get that tone
His sig with emgs and hipshot bridge and tuners can make it pretty metal@@timmyisded4446 Dude holding the riff uses an ibanez or jackson.

This dude needs to go a Metal concert. The feeling and the adrenaline it’s incomparable.
hahha yeah need to go a slipknot concert urgently xD
He said “you gotta let me come to one of these bruh.” Man the cool thing is Slipknot don’t care who you are, your gonna have good time no matter what. Straight up, one of the best metals ever.
I was an outsider, never felt like I belonged. I'll never forget when my uncle dragged me to my first slipknot show. 2008 or 9. Immediately felt like I was a part of something. Felt accepted and seen. I've been to every one of their tours since.

Blown away by the crowd
Brain broken by Joeys "solo"

Unspoken rule of Slipknot: Don’t go to their concerts without knowing this! Every time it’s a legend!

That kind of open-minded, free thinking curiosity and appreciation for our fellows is something we all, including me, need a whole lot more of. Im glad you liked it!
I've been a maggot for 20 yrs. Being in the pit during the many times I've seen slipknot are my fave memories. Been to hundreds of gigs but slipknot are the best by far.
I was at their show called Knotfest last year, and even though it was at an amphitheatre in Tampa, people were still out their seat on the ground for Spit It Out. The 50 year old couple in front of me were there for it, lol. It was amazing.
I made jiffy lube live last year, there were people moshin in the fuckin aisles, i couldnt speak for like a week. Wore my voice out
I was there in the pit last year at Tampa, it was fun for my first slipknot show. They are great performers but Gojira was the highlight of the night. They killed it.
Was there at the knotfest meets hellfest event in Clisson, France!

I’ve never seen someone go from amped up to concerned to confused and back to amped up so quick in my life hahahahaha
Corey Taylor and Slipknot know how to control a crowd. When I saw them live I felt 100% safe and 100% fear at the same time during this song. Made it out without injury, although there were a few.
Last show I went to they stopped mid song to clear the crowd for medics.
Slipknot is an experience you MUST see. I’ve seen tons of metal bands live but that group just gets you so damn pumped once you get out of there you feel like you can smash down walls, throw full size cars and topple buildings. The energy not only from the band but the energy of the crowd is insane. Corey Taylor is also a wicked front man. The only other band I’ve seen create that kind of energy live is Slayer but even then it pales in comparison. Your first metal concert should be Slipknot fam.
i saw slayer and slipknot in the same weekend last year was best weekend of my life so far
