Every year during Autumn when I'm out fishing, random women (always with small children in tow) will sort of mill around me or get too close to where I'm fishing at parks, etc. It's always in Autumn too, never any other time of the year. I'm not interested in dating women with children, so the conversations are always a little awkward. I had a female co-worker once who displayed all these signs towards me in fact we became really close friends so I manned up and told her "I liked her and that would should be a couple" she hit me with "I only like u as a friend" so reality isn't what it's cracked up to be! 🤦♂️
A lot of times that "I like you only as a friend" is a shit test in a way. I once had this chick show me these pictures of her to get my opinion on which ones looked the best (We knew each other well at this point, same humor/sarcasm). And she starts talking about her family and I start giving her shit in a playful way and she goes "were just friends, a white guy would have to be really special" and I further joke about "Oh what, I'm not special?" In a causal sarcastic way with a smile. Fast forward a week or so later when I saw her again and she asks If I want her number, starts complimenting how beautiful my eyes are, etc.
TBH You probably scared her cuz you said "we should be a couple" lol, so in order to save any relationship with you she preserved the friendship instead. They may sit and fantasize about you all day, but when you directly push the boundary, they pull away.
It's like stage fright. I can sit and think about a presentation and go over it the night before perfectly. But when I'm asked to step up and do it in reality, the adrenaline starts going and I'm like "oh shit idk If I can do this".

It took me over 26 years to finally start figuring things out. Even some of my most experienced friends still have trouble seeing the signs that I now see too. After a lifetime of rejection, self-rejection, and humiliation I’m starting to see a little progress. Especially now that I’m going to the gym almost everyday.

I was beginning to understand and recognize a few of these signs in my early 20's before I suffered a spinal cord injury from an auto accident. After that point, a the meaning of some of these signs seemed to change, usually ends up with women telling me they were just being nice. Its rather frustrating 😶

I think it's flattering even if a girl is not available or not necessarily attracted to you but finds you hot. It caught my attention from a girl co worker who is really beautiful, striking. A very pretty indian girl. And I couldn't help wonder if she finds me good looking, because she seemed always away of my presence as far as looking at me. Everyone looks at ppl that's normal. But if I was at register, she was definitely looking at me more than other ppl. When I would stock things in the back, I had a feeling she was following me with her eyes when walking by. It was funny as I turned around as she walked by when she almost walked past.
She didn't look away, it wasn't a smile, but she still looked at me just before couldn't see her as she passed by the itams on the pallet at the warehouse. I usually don't wear form fitting shirts. I'd usually wear, they weren't loose polo shirts. But in the winter I started wearing a form fitting shirt and I came in one day, I didn't wear such before at work or not when she was. It was amsuing, I think sub conscious but as I walked by her, she did a very quick double take. Looked at my eyes, very quickly to my torso then back to my eyes again ha. Just like all businesss we've been wearing masks at work forever so this is while we have masks on. But we both know what each other look like without masks since we've seen each other in the break room many times where you can obviously go without masks in there. So what do you think? I have had women do all of these things but they are never interested in me. Life to the point where I completely withdrew from social life and have been completely alone for the last decade. I have a coworker that I do find attractive but don't really know her. Since I came back from medical leave, I'm looking and feeling a lot better. A lot more confident and harder working. If someone told this to me back in 2008, my life could be very different today, in my school, I had a friend who talked to me everyday, she was in the chair right in front of me, her hair was the thing I saw almost everyday at school, it was long black and straight, we were only school friends, we didn't talk outside of school because our way home was literally the opposite of each other and we didn't talk on internet or anything, the only thing I remember today is her hair and the fact that she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, I don't remember how her face was, but we can't forget feelings, we talked a lot in school and in the last day of that year she asked me: "Do you think I am pretty?", I am a very shy person so, I had to lie to her saying just "no", I never saw her again, maybe she moved out of the city, or to another school, but as for today I'm almost 30 years old and I never kissed a girl in my whole life, because I am an "old school" person, I mean, I'm not the kind of person who goes to a party, then met someone, then do "something", just to marry and divorce in less than five years because of bad choices, if someday I kiss a girl, I hope to be the one who will laugh with me, the one who will be my best friend, the one who will be my confident, the one who I will spent the rest of life together, the point is: Life is made of choices, and the one who choose you, don't be shy, tell her how do you feel, tell her that you like her, tell her that she is beautiful, tell her that you love her

I am this kind of person too. And I have been single all my 26-years-old-life. I have never kissed a girld too. Our situations can't be just pure accidents - it seems like women do not like men of our type, even though they say (only say!) they like. I had a slightly different situation - I got on well with a girl, she seemed to like me, she gave some signals (e.g. playing with her hair, her pendant, teasing me), but when I asked her directly what her intentions were, she completely ignored me and our friendship died. Who knows whether it was also just a ploy on the part of this girl or not in your case? Don't beat yourself up about it.
The one lie was the difference maker. Who knows what would of happened if you had told the truth. Also truth is the foundation that you must build a relationship on if you want it to be an enduring one.
Most of us are clueless in our teens and twenties. Try not to beat yourself up about this, and learn from what happened. Unless you're a Greek god you aren't as interesting to women at 20 as you will be at 40, so take heart. Take this opportunity to work on making yourself awesome and self-sufficient and a time will come when you will have to choose between women. Take it from a guy who's 57 and has been there.

Well I shouldn’t say never. More like it has happened a few times but I get turned down if I act upon her signs. In most cases I feel like they were either practicing their moves to see if they work or just trying to get a confidence boost by having someone notice her.
The same thing happened to me - when you want to step up the game, they just lose any interest.
