BEST DAY EVER! Fly Fishing the Chattahoochee

- Every time I go out fly fishing for trout I do my best to catch as many as possible during that given fishing trip. The desire to maximize my time on the water by catching as many as possible has led me to develop my tight line nymphing skills to a point I never even imagined was possible for me. I am so thankful for all the incredible anglers I've gotten to fish with as I've learned this sport. They have molded me into the fish-slaying MadFishinSkillz you see today, and my need to return that favor to the sport means I will forever be a part of the Trout Fishing and conservation community, especially with Trout Unlimited.
I was stoked to get my personal best day of trout catching on the Chattahoochee on video as I hit the river with my friend Mr. Dan. Fishing was slow first thing in the morning, but the water dropped a foot or two towards noon which condensed the fish in their typical runs and made for some stellar afternoon action, including a nice wild brown trout!

can you give me the direction to get to Bowman's Island?
Park at lower pool park at Buford Dam and walk downstream! Goodluck and bring your size 20 midges!
those days are the best they are the ones you can sit back and smile when looked back on
No doubt man! Never used to imagine that I'd actually be catching this many trout in a single day. Now I'm aiming even higher. That was definitely a fun day, seemed like some fish were just jumping on my line as soon as it hit the water!! Thanks for watching man
Where did you put in. Looks like above Roswell
Great stuff! Big fan of your vids…I should have stayed hello at AO bugs and suds the other night. See you out there.
Thanks so much !! Definitely say hello at the next one! Tight lines and thanks again for watching I really appreciate it!!
Nice and peaceful day at a beautiful spot. Hope you’re doing well brother and I’m digging the stache!
No doubt man!! Thanks a bunch, hope you're enjoying it in SK or wherever life has brought you now!! Had to shave her down a little for job interviews but it will not be the last stache appearance on this channel!!
What part of the river is this?
Lower half of the tailwater - there are many lesser known access points so don't be afraid to hit the trails and find your own quiet piece of the river!
awesome video keep it up 👍
Big thanks, will do!! -Ryan
Come on up to Pa. and fish with me sometime. That guide boat should have cut the engine till he got by, bad ethics.
That would be awesome! My brother is actually up in PA selling with his company right now in the Allentown/Quakertown area I believe! I guess they had to motor by to go against the current but I've had other situations where it definitely felt like they could've been more considerate....Thanks for watching and hope you're doing well!
Which access point did you hit
