Rushing 400 ilvl is definetly good if you want the Tusks of Mannoroth or Garrosh heirlooms. You can also make your own heroic raids while being low ilvl yourself if there aren't too groups forming, just make sure the average ilvl is around 400 and that you have a lot of people in it.
You can do Siege of Orgrimmar normal on any lvl 60+ characters but if you only do Normal mode, you will have to do it 42 times to finish all the items, 20 times for just the Garrosh shoulders.
I've got 1 which I've geared, do daily stuff for bronze. Then got 5 other level 70s which I've just used to buy all mounts and transmog I want. I've got thousands of bronze sat around on alts with no use lol
I ran LFG over and over first run now and I'm going to use alt as a main to do story / questing for bronze and quest t-mog
As someone that now has everything in mop and still 5 alts to level all i can say is... dont run raids on your main if you leveled up gear on one; once ur done leveling the gear run SoO mythic once for the achievement and title (same bronze gains as heroic just harder) then level alts. the free bronze for hitting 70 and the 30-50k you make while leveling is more than enough to get everything. I will now have about 600k bronze that's unusable because i kept doing stuff on the main.
I just dinged 70 on my first char. What shud I do if iwanna farm the Tusk of mannorothj? i need 20 of those things. but gearing confuses me,, how will i get inv to heroic raids from here?
Simple answer is to start a new character. Lol

Lol! Seems like a lot of people are actually just hitting 70 now based on the questions I have been getting in groups in the game. Good luck on your journey man
