Hello Ambassadors! Was I surprised that this would be a hell of a nice video to watch? No! Surprises, fun, funny you too. Toktoyaktuk..well pronounced MARIANNE. Thank you making my Sunday morning wonderful! By the way, I really loved your idea of the tour to TURKIYE. I do not want to say " I wish I was able to join you". One day that dream of mine will come true. I will meet you " insaallah" you heard this word in TURKIYE which means " with God's will". We love you. Thanks for the great videos. Hi from family and sending their loves💕💕💕💕🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
We live in Alaska and we’ve driven to tombstone Territorial Park and up the Dempster in my truck. 2 flat tires at the same time! The road isn’t dangerous. It just eats tires so you need to be prepared. Unlike the Dalton highway in Alaska. Glad you made the wise choice of not driving the Dalton and taking this easier driver instead.
I had my winshield cracked and luckily it held up till I got back home to have a new one put in. Also, when looking for a spot to camp one night I ran over a hidden tree stump and bottomed out the car, had to have a tow truck come and lift it off. You just never know what will happen as you're driving to and around Alaska, it's an adventure! Enjoyed seeing you Marianne having a wonderful birthday day and Chesca too. Cheers to another year.
Love that the agent at the visitor center was so encouraging! Your roadside hack for clamping the roof window down was very clever -- it's only a bodge if it doesn't work! 😆😉 ❤️❤️😎👍xx
Fantastic that you're in the area of the Gold Rush and the author Jack London's really Boy's own stories. I've been inside the Arctic Circle in Norway. Enjoy your journey.
I really appreciate getting to hear the lady at the visitor center explain everything about the road to the Arctic Ocean and then you two explaining why you’re going to Tuktoyuktuk (spelling?) and not Prudhoe Bay. Because I’ve been wanting to drive that trek and was wondering the same things as you, not sure, so now I feel confident about going! On the Canadian side!
Have only recently found your vlog. I am LOVING it. This is such an exciting trip, to an area I know little about. Best wishes from a Brit living in W Australia.
Hi Chris and Marianne I am watching a programme on Discovery tv at the moment called Railroad Alaska which is all about the railroad replacing a length of rail in the tunnel leading to Whittier. The same tunnel I watched the two of you drive through. Talk about coincidence. Thoroughly enjoying your videos which are so informative with gorgeous scenery. Please keep them coming. Mary
This was something my late husband and I had planned to do go cross country we loved the outdoors but he passed away from cancer so I still have the dream and the desire to do it is on my boquete list so you guys are the best thing with out leaving my home. Thank you guys stay healthy safe and blessed my friends 🙏🏾💕🦋💙♥️
On my recent trip to the northern part of WA, many bits on my 4WD were held together with cable ties. I then discovered metal cable ties which were awesome! If you're using plastic ones, see if you can get metal ones!
Wow we are so excited to continue this epic journey Stateside. It would be so amazing to go the full length, however safety and lives first. Like Andy said play by ear and go from there. Thank you to all in the convoy be well and stay safe 🙏💯💜
I have bad news for you; you are a little too late to drive all the way to the arctic unless you have a Tucker Sno-Cat. :) I think it wouldn't be problem to arrive there but, returning would be a big issue at that time of the year. I recommend you to try to drive there around mid of July in 2023.
Hi - thank you so much - we are pleased to say that we did the Alaska / NWT trip over July and early August - we drove so hard to get there and we have been staying in BC (with family) editing and putting out the videos until we catch up (only 3 left !!) Before we start the road trip again but we are so happy everyone is enjoying the adventure and sharing the journey with us 🌷🙌 Marianne
Nice to meet you two in Chemainus. We have lots of tools if you need any repairs. What would you like to eat? Our first "dinner party" in nomad monster. Clayton and Teresa!
definitely go for it, if it gets dodgy weather-wise etc, turn back. I love Dawson City! Joe Black ferry is an adventure on its own, but walking and driving the ice bridge in winter is out of this world!
Glad you made the ferry across the Yukon at Dawson City! Whew. Such a lovely drive so far. I am happy you went to the visitor's center and got accurate road information for the rest of the way up to the Arctic Circle and beyond if you choose to extend to the Arctic Ocean. Best wishes for a super nice rest of the trip!
Greetings frim Malaysia. Move on Chris and Marriane. You're so close to complete your North America adventure. I really hope that your trip and adventure are being tracked by BBC for their future broadcast. Honestly, there's a lot of learnings and insights that we attain from your adventure . All the best to both of you. Stay safe and healthy. Remain strong, happy and maintain your resilience and composure. Looking forward to watching your next video.
wow decisions 🤔 my friends you know the risks and you know your budget . . whatever you decide take care and stay safe 🙏 happy trails 👣 enjoy your day ❤️ 🙋♀️
ABSOLUTELY WOULD !!!! How wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable that lady was! She was a pleasure to listen to as you were able to ask all the questions you needed in order make an informed decision!! And I love watching you interact with each other and your friends!! SO ENJOYABLE! Safe travels!
How totally exciting!!! I am so enjoying your adventures the vista's in Alaska and Canada are just breaking. Love your channel love you two!! Stay safe stay Blessed ❤️
Definitely go for it! If you don't already, take a look at Living the vanlife UA-cam channel. Chad drove the same route as you intend to during the winter. It looked spectacular. Thoroughly enjoying watching your journey 😊
I think I saw that one too. I think there’s a sign that says ‘Arctic Ocean’ where all the travellers put their stickers. Looks like it might get a ‘Tread the Globe’ sticker too.😁
Looks like a great adventure. Always good to travel in numbers like you both. Some incredible scenery and experiences. I’m only new to motorhoming at the moment and still unsure about where I should and shouldn’t go. I found your video really inspiring. Safe travels & keep pumping out these types of vids. 😃👍
Gorilla Glue! Fantastic product. i just used it to glue my shoes together. I'm sure that you're familiar with the USA genius who used it as hair gel and had to spend $20,000 to get it removed.
If you did make it up there, you will probably learn the correct way to say Tuktoyaktuk ! The woman at the visitor centre gave the English pronunciation - or the anglicized version. I occurred to me watching you trying to decide whether your van was up to the journey , that your engine is probably tiny? I think Fiats normal van engine is a 2 litre 4-cylinder? The smallest engine on a North American van - a Ford or Dodge of the same size - is going to be a 3.5 litre V6 - and the would be considered a fairly modern eco engine. Until relatively recently Ford/Dodge smallest engines began with 5 litre V8s. I know the UK has always mocked North America for its huge engines, but the main reason for them was the ability to do long drives, with a smooth ride and very little stress on the engine. I think North American distances must put quite a strain on a smaller engine, making them more prone to problems?
--Hello friends, I finished watching your last video and look what a coincidence, that the Italian travelers from Stepover, Simone and Lucia with their Valentino truck have just arrived, well, their last video, in Toktoyaktuk. This is a really difficult decision because Trudy is not a 4x4 big absolutely huge achievement if you did thos in Trudy. So you could ask for sponsorship of the company who engineered Trudy as what an advertisement for the strength and insurance of their motor vehicles and you could provide them with an array of photographs for their global magazines so very lucrative deal which you need because make no doubt that amount of mileage in that terrain In a vehicle that is not designed for it is a tremendous fete and their will be considerable wear and tear on Trudy you will need to find money for repairs and replacement. So you might also.suggest that they provide you with one of their New Motor Homes to further advertise for the company as you continue on your round the world trip.Little Trudy has carried to thousand of miles and will eventualy be a museum piece showing what can be achieved by a loyal and trustworthy little motor vehicle that many others fail to do.What a great advertisement though for the manufacturers .If you achieve this so many people will want same knowing they are investing in something they can Trust and rely on.Also as you may have heard .A New 3rd Prime Minister is internally elected today in Covid and economic cost of living and energy crisis. So this is the right time to continue your travels and to try to place yourself somewhere warm this winter. Many people look forward to seeing you and sharing your dream. So this should be in Newspapers and I think on TV a people need things to aspire to lifting them out of all the potty politics being served to everybody at the moment and with hope and Luck by March -April next year things might stabilise enough for everyone to heal themselves and our country. As matters stand the World needs people like you taking up the Gauntlet and attempting great things .The Turtle Sanctuary was a most amazing natural Conservation exersize in what can be done with the will and the way and the heart and the Love and good organising and planning. So well Done both and can't wait

Kudu's to all of you - you made my day getting to watch this with my morning coffee!

Thanks Todd - that is great

I would go on.
If it was me, and I had the chance to go to the ends of the earth, I would. Better off trying than regretting not.

I did this trip in a 26 foot winnebago 30 years ago and it was horrendous. They don't say be prepared to meet your maker for nothing 😮
I don’t think you could go that far and not give it a go. Looking forward to the next few episodes 😊
Fabulous Marianne ,Chris & Trudy👍👍👍. Safe travels.☘🌺.
I reckon you did it. Trusty Trudy won't let you down. Good luck guys.

Thanks John Boy !!
My dad drove us to Hammerfest Norway, as far north you can get. If he did it then, he'd do this too. As I remember, the roads in Norway were better.
Please use dicor sealant as it tolerates hot and cold so much better than silicone ever can!
