WOW what a day - we will NEVER forget it ! - We're so pleased to be able to take you with us & we hope you enjoy it. It was a serious drive- would love to hear your comments - Chris & Marianne xx
Why don't you show your food preparation and clearing away activity as well? It would really be fun to watch and learn a trick or two about cooking on the road, and break the monotony of just driving and speeding down long roads through nature's varying topography, vegetation and changing weather conditions, not that they are not beautiful to see and marvel at. Thanks for taking us along. Can't wait to get to the 66.5 degree N latitudinal circle. So exciting!!!!¡. All the BEST for you and Trudy. 😎😧😁
mosquito spray is meat marinade , if you wanna keep the mosquito away get you some skin so soft by avon. It's too late for ya now, but for future visit to high mosquito or even no see ums, very effective stink oil
Yep the right decision but you’re both so brave. I guess that’s why you’re driving with your friends. Thank you for this epic journey. And I’ve said it before - the roads are nowhere as bad as Georgia and you were up a mountain there!!!! Can’t wait for next videos xxx
I got a chip on my windscreen a few weeks ago on a 10,000km trip around the NW of WA and I went to a mechanic in Derby. He told me to go to Woolies and get some superglue! So I did and applied a bit to the chip and it works!!! Just make sure that the gle doesn't drip down the windscreen like it did on mine!
I was in Dawson City many years ago and was fascinated by an lndian walking path high up above the river. I would love to return just to walk that path. When we arrived at the Yukon border we were given a stamp in our passports of a gold miner and his donkey. All over the world that stamp has surprised customs officials . Great video, first time viewer from Australia. 🌈🐨
Taking down the air pressure a bit will help with the rough roads but you will need to bring the pressure up once you get back to the hiway. I normally will take my jeep down to about 25-30 psi (normally 35 psi) for these roads.
you were lucky to hit some rain, it really Kees the dust down - if you weren't doing it, its a good idea to turn off the cars ventilation fans when you pass a truck too. - you should also open up the vans air filter and give it a good bang, they can really clog on road dust. For your own sanity - or just to lessen fatigue - at Canadian Tire or hardware stores you can buy big bags or tubs of zip ties. They come in various lengths and will join together to make longer lengths, but if your awning or something else is rattling a lot, its an easy way to silence it.
Trucked up to Inuvic for many years so many stories. Interesting to see how other find the road. Say hi to Stan who owns lodge . So much more to see from Eagle to border
If you find any BMW motorcycle parts about 20km south of Fort McPherson, they may be mine! Great video. I’m glad I get to show my wife where I was via your vid. Thanks!
Have an adventurous but smooth, trouble free, nice time in those desolate lands. And also thanks for taking us with you. Here, in Türkiye they say if a lorry is coming en face on a gravel road, you should push your thumb onto the windshield to prevent it from cracking. It might work. Desperate times require desperate solutions. 😅
This looks amazing! I’ve always wanted to do this and we’re hoping to get up there in the next couple of years. Love the midnight sun! Those gas stations are funny. We had to detour 200km once in Australia as the pumps were locked up! We found out later they would have unlocked them for us. Something to keep in mind for your Aussie trip.
Marianne / Chris, in the drone shot at 13:44, did something Moose-like run onto the road, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? 😲 I am loving your adventures. A big hi from Toronto 👋🏼
Definitely the right decision you made! And travelling in tandem is a safety net in case one vehicle breaks down. It's super interesting for those of us who won't ever go to such places. You can watch a documentary on a place but that's not the same thing as following adventurers like yourselves on the actual road and learning and seeing as you go the route. Loving it!
It's such a privilege to be following along on your adventure. I'm always in awe of your fearless nature and joyful spirit. Thank you for letting us join you! (I hope Trudy gets the world's greatest full service at some point, she's an utter legend ❤️)
Now THIS is what I believe we humans are meant to do! Unfortunately, many of us relegate ourselves to the sedentary lifestyle, only active when shopping at the local big box stores and chain restaurants. I'm currently stuck in a town filled with them. Your channel helps me escape the mundanity. I thank you two very much for bringing me along on your journey!
THANK YOU for taking us with you!!! I never would have gotten to see all you have seen and experienced without you filming everything!!! You 2 are just the BEST!!!
If you haven't been back to Dawson City yet, be sure and check out Gerties dance hall show every evening. Cheechakos is also THE most amazing bakery...but get there early! Safe travels - I miss Dawson City. I used to lead tours through the Yukon/Alaska
More drone shots please!! Those views are out of this world. And you saw bear and moose! More than anything you look like you’re having the best time, doing what you two do best. Love you xxx 💛✨
You did a fine job and got to see a lot of interesting scenic views, a Grizzly Bear, the Moose, the bicyclist and many big rig trucks. Good work for that 14 hours of driving. The children are very well behaved and seem involved and enjoying the travel which is also very nice. Wishing you safe and happy travels ahead. Can't wait for the next episode of your adventure!
Beautiful!!! We have a large mosquito population in south Texas, and I swallow a spoonful of fresh, chopped garlic in the morning. It keeps them at bay for most of the day.
Extreme dusty conditions! That means you need to wash down the trail dust with Canadian beer. Make sure you sing great Canadian songs about driving in Canada like Moving On by Hank Snow or Summer Wages by Ian Tyson about driving to Vancouver.
I love the way you guys were laughing when you saw the gas station was just some barrels. It was like a laugh of insanity after driving for 13 hours lol.
Very remote road for sure, might be better using a mask with all that dust but who wants to go back to that again lol - great you seen a moose and bear - Happy traveling
Thanks for taking us to places that we most likely will never visit. What a joy watching this. Would love to get my camper van some day on a trip there. Greetings from Norway
What a journey, probably too late now, but when you get to Australia and are hitting those outback dirt roads drop your tyre pressures a bit a less jarring effect on you and your Trudy!❤️
I absolutely love your channel!! I wonder if a bee keeping suit would save you from the skeeters 🤔. Had anyone ever tried it? I think if I ever make that drive I'll fashion myself a thick piece of plexiglass from the front hood to the roofline. Maybe some screen on the sides. That way all the rocks would bounce off.
You lot were *so punchy* at the end of that day's drive! 🤣🤣🤣 And rightly so! Really drives home the expansive, remote distances up there. And the drone shots! 😱😱 Thanks to the Commonwealth on that point! 😉 Glad to see the truckers giving space and slowing down for you; don't think they would be so thoughtful on the Alaska side. I recognize that can at 32:00! Hope it helped with getting to sleep under the midnight sun. ❤️❤️😎👍xx
Watching you, as said before, is so so inspiring. As I watch this video, I’m trying to figure out who I would choose as a convoy companion! Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Wow what an amazing trip that says it’s so beautiful and you guys are so awesome can’t wait till the next episode have an amazing evening when I left you it was 12 o’clock at night or something like that good luck
24:54... it even shows up on google maps.. amazing. I wanted to attach the screen munch of it here. Maybe UA-cam should allows for picture attachments on their comments.
Such an incredibly exciting trip. You are so brave and we are excited to be sharing this trip with you. Thank you for all the wonderful filming and please stay safe. 🙏👍 I must add it is nice your friends are with you. ❤️👌
At first I thought it was snowing, when y’all stopped together. But then you said it’s millions of mosquitoes! Eeeeewwww. I would have to have a battery powered bug zapper with me!
If you think gas barrels at the gas station is wild, the bush pilots who service the north, will leave caches of fuel barrels out in the wilderness for them to refuel from when needed. Across the north of Canada and Alaska, the bush pilots are a breed apart, especially in winter, they are the only way the north can operate, they bring supplies to towns and mines, they are the ambulances that take patients or pregnant women to hospitals when needed. The Beaver plane is actually regarded as a symbol of Canada and together with Otters and Twin Otters, they service the North. On at least two occasions now, people have been rescued from the South Pole by Canadian bush pilots. I think the first time was around 2016? It has always been considered impossible to rescue staff from the South Pole research centres during the winter. After a worker or workers became seriously ill down there one year, no country would allow any of its pilots to fly down there, no Air Force had the capability, so a bunch of Canadian bush pilots flew down from Alberta, down through South America and then finally across Antartica, in blizzards and -60 weather in a couple of Twin Otters. There's very little down there in the way of beacons or navigation aids, total darkness and no chance of rescue in an emergency. - in the North, they would have the chance of rescue from the other pilots, down there, nothing.
Wouldn't you think that you could get a clear film to put over the windshield (window screen) to protect it, like the one you put over your phone or ipad screen? That would be brilliant. It has to be available somewhere, wouldn't you think?? Another (to use your favourite word) EPIC video. ☺
Hello friends . . omg how remote yet beautiful adventure your both brave souls . . the gas station hilarious 😂 gas literally in a barrel 😂 continued same travels stay safe take care ❤️🙋♀️
Hello Ambassadors Never a dull moment with you guys. More and more I am loving watching you guys. Scenery is fabulous, no city traffic, or kaos, very calming. ! I have only recently found your vlog and I am binge watching. Hopefully you read this.... dilute half water and half mouth wash in a spray bottle and spray on skin to stop mosquitos biting😊
it's very sad times Queen Elizabeth is passed away to day may her soul rest in peace. Sorry for your Nation's loss , respect from Turkey :(

Hi guys
I am sorry to hear that you lost your queen Elizabeth.
My condolences to you😔😔😔🇹🇷🇹🇷
Thank you Nick 😪💜🌺🙏
Sorry to hear Queen Elizabeth passed. She lived a long fantastic life. Enjoying your video series.

Hi Jill - welcome and thanks for watching the video 🌺 Great to know we brought you some memories back of adventures 🙌

A petrol station consisting of one barrel 😂 That’s a whole barrel of laughs 🤣
Wind screen breaking road! 😂😂😂
Trucked up to Inuvic for many years so many stories. Interesting to see how other find the road. Say hi to Stan who owns lodge . So much more to see from Eagle to border
Awesome !
I’m actually immune to mosquito bites, they don’t give me those mean itchy bumps, so I’ve never minded the critters!
I can only wish!!
They should make a specific windscreen guard for that purpose.
If you find any BMW motorcycle parts about 20km south of Fort McPherson, they may be mine! Great video. I’m glad I get to show my wife where I was via your vid. Thanks!
OH This is fabulous !! thanks Robert - we are so happy we all shared this story 🌺
My deepest condolences in the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Thank you lovely people xx We are loving the drone too - we don't have a licence for US so Chris is getting the most out of it here !! LOL 😂🙌🌺
Finding a travelling couple who are really likeable rather than gut wrenchingly awful. It’s like finding a little gold in the mud!
You did a fine job and got to see a lot of interesting scenic views, a Grizzly Bear, the Moose, the bicyclist and many big rig trucks. Good work for that 14 hours of driving. very cool moose in the lake and the amount of daylight at midnight was a sight to behold

Thanks Nick - we laughed soooo hard !! love to the family xx
You can still pan for gold there and find it.
Enjoyed your video. The road leading out of Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk involves violent washboarding for 5km. Godspeed.
What a drive and your 89k woo hoo xx
What a wonderful adventure you are both on. I really enjoy your videos. My husband and I are currently in Turkiye enjoying our on adventure and visiting the places you were at as well.
Wonderful!
I think the barrels are there just for spillage. Big rigs would take forever to fill with barrels 🙄Signed retired truck driver.
love the video
Wowzers what a road and drive. X
It was the most remote place on earth for us
A bit scary being alone on these roads. You guys are doing great. Good luck and be safe😘😘😘
veee seviliyorsunuz,:),bir daha Türkiye'ye gelirseniz sizi ağırlamak isterim...
I have only recently found your vlog and I am binge watching. Hopefully you read this.... dilute half water and half mouth wash in a spray bottle and spray on skin to stop mosquitos biting😊
Hi lovely people wery nice video thanks xx
